Great experience for my wife's birthday. Interesting, varied, tasty and beautiful food. Service absolutely top class and staff did a fantastic job explaining the food in English :) Course menu with drinks came for two came to around £100.

Located on the second floor Hotel the Manhattan with views toward the Kaihin Makuhari Seaside Park. The tables are separated often by blinds and columns that give diners some privacy, but also block the view of servers. The overall decor reminds me of a colonial style hotel. This was our third visit to the restaurant. They offer several fixed menu choices, but those choices don't seem to have changed. This reduces the frequency of regular visits by locals, but perhaps most guests only visit the restaurant once.We ordered the Creation choice which includes soup, appetizer, entrée, dessert and coffee or tea for Â¥3,240. For an extra charge of Â¥1,620 you can have lobster (ãªãã¼ã«æµ·è) or for Â¥2,160 you can enjoy beef filet with foie gras and truffles. My wife chose the lobster and I chose the beef filet. In addition we ordered "berry water," which my wife said was very refreshing, and a glass of red wine. We enjoyed all the food very much indeed this is exactly what we ordered on our last visit a year ago, so we knew it would be good. In addition they offer three types of bread including French bread, fruit bread and walnut bread that they serve freely throughout the meal. There are free refills of coffee and tea.The service is good, but as mentioned above the servers can not always see the patrons and this can slow down the service. If you're looking for some good French food and are in staying in Kaihim Makuhari for a trade show at Makuhari Messe or on some other temporary trip I recommend it. If you're more local than it is good once a year or so as the menu doesn't seem to change.

This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in my life! Personal chef cooks in front of you and is open to any conversation. You will be well treated here with food and drink. The top chef and owner personally served me and even gave me a signed copy of his chef hat!! I have had the most wonderful experience and the finest food. I didnât post every course of the meal but here are several I enjoyed. I highly recommend coming here.

I am conflicted because I enjoyed the Terrace every morning. Their breakfast buffet is a brilliant mix of western and Japanese with some of the tastiest salads I've experienced. I also loved making waffles every morning. The egg station makes omelets of all varieties. Alternatively, the scrambled eggs are always perfect. The negative comes at dinner. The buffet part of the meal is not altogether different from breakfast. The main dish in the evening is pasta. I had the squid and pasta is a sort of pesto. It was really not very good.Behind Hotel the Manhattan is The Plena, which contains loads of restaurants, including some western style. Near the train station is a stripe of restaurants containing an Irish/British pub and some very good Japanese and Chinese restaurants. The only warning is be prepared to look at plastic presentations or pictures in the menu. English is not common amongst staff and the menus make no concession for the language.Overall, have breakfast at the hotel; you will not be disappointed. However, do not waste money on the evening meal when other options are plentiful.
