Although the Birchrunville Store Cafe is deliciously charming, the quality of the food is completely over-rated. For example, the beets/feta appetizer - beets were tough and tasteless while the feta overwhelmed the entire dish. The seafood main course, Chilean sea bass, although solid, was accompanied by a lobster/crab combo wrapped in some sort of pastry which was completely disappointing - dull and lacking imagination. The upside was spending time with friends we hadnât seen for over six years.

Here with a group 30 for a business meeting. Hors dâoeuvres were good. âAranciniâ fried risotto mozzarella pea ball not interesting. Steak Diane and duck breast only came well done. Chocolate cake for dessert was from a food wholesaler. Bread putting was made in house. Appears that the kitchen has lost her touch when serving larger groups. Will not return.

Delicious french cuisine served in a beautifully restored Victorian house.
My step-daughters wedding venue. The wedding and the reception were both here. The place was rich with history. Charm in every corner. The upstairs was where the ceremony was held and the cocktail hour in their bar. Which had may things to see from past history. The reception was in the ballroom. Beautiful, wood floors, fireplace. It was a perfect place for a wedding. Pictures also taken outside by the fountain. Needless to say a good time had by all.

There were three of us dining on weekend for dinner. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and offered great recommendations and information about the menu. Food was very good with good-sized portions, but a little pricey. Atmosphere is quaint and cozy/small. We ate in the dining room, but there is also a bar area for dining. A little more upscale than some of the other many restaurants in the downtown/Bridge Street locale.

We visited with friends and had a delicious meal. Who would think such good food can be found in an old Dairy Queen? This is where my praise ends ... In all the years Bunha Faun has been here the interior has remained the same - bad! Only worse is the service. The upstairs seating area is shameful. So if you want to eat a delicious $34 filet mignon in a place that is in serious need of maintenance, and wait over an hour for your food, that is if your waiter pays any attention to you - Bunha Faun is the restaurant for you.
