This cosy and homely restaurant has now re-opened under new management but it remains popular and reliable, with a wide range of galettes plus worthwhile alternatives if you are hungry. The chef offers starters of the day and a range of deserts, not only crepes. The Maitre D takes a keen interest in his customers and is very friendly. He also speaks English fluently enough to help anyone who needs help to interpret the menu.

We were travelling through Chatillon on a Monday evening and most places were closed for dinner. This was one of the few places that opened at 18:00 and whose menu was varied and reasonable. The fish and lamb we chose were delicious and because it was a warm, sunny evening, we were able to sit outside and enjoy the live music in the Place near the Hotel de Ville.

We were staying in Mussy and were told that our nearest restaurant was 15 minutes away in Montilot. The route there is straightforward and the Côté Seine ison the main road with ample parking. We were greeted by a wonderful lady who had a limitedknowledge of English but explained the menu and helped us decide what to have. We could mix and match from the extensive choices and price ranges. The food was well presented and excellent. In fact you could have as little or as much as you wanted. The restaurant was not very busy (evening) but the ambience was helped by some lovely soundtrack music and in all it was a pleasant experience. In total with drinks for two it was â¬64and wither every bit of it.We would certainly return0nly downside was there was no WiFi but it's not the end of the world. Give Côté Seine a try

We drove out of our way to come to this restaurant only to find it was closed that evening, and we could not have checked beforehand from UK. TripAdvisor should insist on phone numbers being given as well as opening hours

Delicious pizza cooked in wood fired oven. Sat outside but tables were shaded. Friendly efficient service and lovely welcome. We had the shared starter but didn't need it. Very limited choice of soft drinks but house wine was good. No wTer served with meal though.

Had a very good meal today. Four of us ate (2 adults & an 8yr & 4yr old). A good buffet starter with lots of different salads, pates, melon and cold meats. There was a good selection of main courses. The children had steak hache and we had the roast turkey with mushroom sause (v well cooked) and a spicy brochette. This was followed by cheese (a good selection) and a choice of desserts. Coffee and wine was also included. The bill came to 54 Euros (the children didn't have cheese & their menu was slightly cheaper). The service was very good and well worth a visit. We were advised to book first as it is a popular place.

I have eaten both lunch and dinner here. The evening menu is great value with plenty of choice and all three courses (four counting the cheeseboard) a delight. The foie gras is excellent, best in the area. Desserts are inventive and beautifully presented. The owners are keen to establish a high quality menu and they have made a great start. The decor is simple but very effective. It only needs two or three tables of guests to feel very relaxed, and there's always more than that!Lunch is good, an interesting menu of the day, constantly changing to reflect fresh foods daily. If you can only eat here once, go in the evening. Not open every day, so check opening times.Reservations taken.
