Our first day back in Chateaulin, nothing in the fridge, and we see that the daily special is "moules frites" or mussels with fries (sorry, chips to the Brits). Anyway, fine lunch on their shaded terrace, with dessert buffet if you can manage it, and we had the house white wine in a carafe to wash it down. We'll go back - and maybe have that Guinness!

You can simply order their pizza (and we have, several times, mostly take-out), but this restaurant offers a great variety. They have a handy "formule" for lunch and dinner, where you can get a copious and tasty three course meal for 15 euros. This is a great addition to the restaurant fare in this area.

The staff here were wonderful when we visited for a birthday (from a recommendation from our campsite - La Pointe). They were very patient with our attempts to speak French! The food was delicious and the atmosphere friendly and relaxed - we would certainly return on our next visit!

We have eaten here several times now over the past few years, since it became a restaurant. The menu has plenty of choice to suit both taste and wallet. It is advisable to book as it is generally quite full of local businessmen lunching. Which tells you that it's consistently good. We live just along the road from the restaurant, so very convenient for us to have our own business lunches there, and we have never been disappointed when taking our guests along.

On a long journey on a hot day we stopped here for lunch. The young girl who first approached us seemed irritated with us and lacked customer service training but we were later served by a lady who couldnât have been more welcoming and helpful. She had great patience and good humour as my partner placed our order using his the best of his French language. When our lunch arrived it was beautifully presented and an absolute taste sensation!! Meals we saw served to other customers also looked amazing. Well done!We wish you every success with this business and your new English fans look forward to returning!!

We are a simple French restaurant in a small town, near a beautiful river. We cook our menus with fresh French products. Our first menu starts at 9.90 ⬠for a dish up to 16.40 ⬠for three courses. And we propose a second menu, more elaborate, for 28 ⬠(th
We had a window table here on Friday night, the night of the annual funfair and firework display. The restaurant serves typical French food such as magret of duck, bavette of beef, seafood cassoulet etc.Between us we had moules frites, cod with a chorizo and crumb topping and magret. This was accompanied with a pichet each of red and white wine. For dessert we all had the cafe gourmand. A small espresso and a selection of 5 small, yet ample desserts, lightly salted chocolate mousse, raspberry panacotta, warm caramel apple, vanilla brulee and meringue. The service was excellent, as was the food. The style is towards the modern regarding presentation and the decor is light and clean. The kitchen is open plan so you can observe food being prepared. The bill for 5 of us was just over 100 euro, which I thought was excellent value for money.I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I have only given it 4 overall, simply because there didn't seem to be any allowance for vegetarian diners.Dear Peter, Thanks a lot for this marvelous comment about our restaurant. We are happy you enjoyed your diner with your friends. We will be happy to receive you again at Petit Bonheur. Effectively, we don't have a specific vegetarian selection but we are able to make something vegetarian if a costumer need it. Don't hesitate tu ask next time, it will be a pleasure for us to find something for you. Have a good weekend, Regards, Roseline.

We recently spent a week in Chatealin, and had two evening meals at Les Cocottes - what a great experience. We love the fixed menus, and trying something different each time, all beautifully presented and served by our host. This super efficient chef serves up great meals and has time to chat too! We look forward to returning again to see what is on the menu!
