Reviews on French food in Cassis, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. In the heart of Calanques National Park, Cassis offers visitors a glimpse of life in a quaint Provencal fishing village. Hop on a sightseeing boat to experience the Cassis Calanques by water, or enjoy the turquoise coastline from a pebble beach. There’s much to explore by foot, too. Admire the pastel-colored houses lining the picturesque harbor, drift into the village’s charming shops and cafes, and take in the scenic views of the French Riviera from the many vantage points along the way.

The freshiest of local fish, very reasonably priced, a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, priced very well and do remember to make a reservation!
This back alley restaurant is a good choice for fish while in Cassis, especially if you are looking for a meal of freshly caught sea bass. Service is exceptionally efficient, perhaps a little too much so. Most tables are outside which suited our preference and is the same for most Cassis restaurants.

Thankful that we were seated without reservations. The staff was outstanding and very helpful. Very glad for the English menu and servers who spoke English quite well. We love seafood and were very satisfied with the sea bass and desserts. Wonderful lunch.

This venue might have their customers captive ( right in the middle of where one goes to see Cassis' famous inlets) but the views are stunning. The food is half decent too, but pricey. Staff are nice and relaxed.

We chose this after a stroll through town and a quick look at this website. We were seated right in front of the small port , on a bluebird sky day. I took the fillet of sea bass which was served with some shredded fennel and pureed vegetables - it was a beautiful picture of colours and tastes to match. I had a panna cotta for dessert which had a lovely texture and good vanilla flavour. The service was very relaxed but efficient.

Restaurant open every evening from 19h to 23h except Monday
A delightful Bistro , up a small side street off the main harbour, very friendly staff and chef. A small but excellent menu , everything is very fresh and perfectly cooked. We enjoyed the warm goats cheese salad, I had Nigerian gambas with pasta , and my wife enjoyed the tuna , rounded off with crème brûlé a recipe of the chef's mother ! ( best I've ever had ! )' with a bottle of local wine, 2 Kir and coffee â¬103 , good value , fabulous food with service to match and a great ambiance

Itâs a rare and wonderful experience when one finds a restaurant that is the epitome of delicious, insipired food, wonderful ambiance and friendly, homely service. The food quality is outstanding and the modern French/Asian fusion brings a wonderful harmony of flavours and styles that is unique and delicious without being pretentious. Think of it as comfort fusion. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had in many years. Thank you!

"For the ultimate fine French dining experience, you can't go past La Villa Madie restaurant - an offshoot of renowned Chef Dimitri Droisneau. Set on the seaside between the rugged cliffs of Cap Canaille and the Mediterranean sea, this Michelin-starred re
Weâve been here 4 times and Iâve loved it every time but this time it wasnât the service that we normally get / the food was amazing - absolutely amazing but the service was missing - the staff seemed to disappear even before we had our desert and then someone was violently sick all over the floor and in the bathroom and was just a disgusting way to end the lunch.....Dear PasssionandPapaya,We are delighted that you have appreciated our cuisine served at La Villa Madie.Unfortunately, concerning the service, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. As you have said, someone was sick, even before his arrival at our restaurant.Due to this situation, waiters had to be taking care of him. However, we didnât want to leave you out.We will be sure to fix it at your next come.Best regards,Marielle et Dimitri Droisneau

We were exceptionally fortunate to stumble along this complete gem. No reservation. Picky children. Really, we could not have given the gently amused owner more opportunity to politely decline our request for a table. Everything was exceptional. From the quickly delivered, cold tap water, to the charming and witty service, not forgetting the peerless food, they set not a foot wrong. Kumquat mosquito? just slightly sweet but with a proper face twisting sour kick. Then marinaded, raw sea bass with lime leaves and (maybe??) lemongrass, beetroot and radishes. Honestly, the list goes on. Lamb, steak, aubergine spelt risotto. All amazing.
