The restaurant is nicely located away from the tourist centre in an interesting neighbourhood. Inside, beautifully designed, with a lovely exterior terrace. The food is utterly delectable, amazing flavours, combinations and presentation. Would have been a wonderful evening except for the surly, hostile waitress - whose unsmiling sour attitude was inexplicable, and totally pointless in such a charming place.Get good staff and this place would be fantastic.

JE is a trendy restaurant concept, fruit of my international experience. At the same time restaurant, tapas bar and gastrobar, JE welcomes you from after work until the middle of the night. JE cooks traditional French dishes or revisited with flavors far
The Je restaurant is a newly opened place with a gorgeous menu offer. The quality is way beyond the price level. We told the restaurant owner that he should rise the prices to attract a quality conscious clientele...Thank you for your nice review. That was a pleasure to receive you.My price/quality ratio seems to be miraculous for a lot a people, specially from Brugge. They are just "french prices" . I do not know what's the secret :-)

We would highly recommend this restaurant. We liked the design, fresh and clean with a touch of the traditional. If you can, try and book a table where you can see the chefs cooking in the kitchen. One of the chefs will come out to speak to you at the beginning of your meal and explain the concepts of your menu choices and also the restaurant. The Waiters and the Sommelier, are willing to offer advice but not in an overpowering way. Everybody we spoke to had a good sense of humour and we definitely felt they were committed to their chosen trade. Kok au Vin is a play on words, the translation into English is Chef in Wine. For our starters we both chose the beef tartare with bone marrow. It was excellent. Our waiter came to collect our empty plates, saying she was glad we had enjoyed it. We looked at her quizzically, she went onto explain that some guests do not understand the dish and have complained that the steak was under cooked!. For mains my partner chose coq au vin, and completely cleared his plate again. He said it was better than mine when I cook it, I will not say what I said to him, but his comment was true! I chose langoustines, which came in a lovely buttery and slightly spicy sauce, which I mopped up with the fresh homemade table bread. Our previous plates were large so for pudding we shared Dame Blanche which was good. There is an extensive collection of wines, moderately priced to expensive. We loved our experience here, and we both feel the food was possibly better than a Micheline Star Restaurant we went to visit later in another Belgium town.

Guillaume. Degustation - Refined kitchen. A classy, French inspired, creative 'cuisine'. In an old Flemish maisonette hides a surprising place of gastronomy. The personal touch of master - chef Wim guarantees a unique experience. Speciality: surf & turf,
Shortly after arriving at the restaurants, which at the time was half empty, my partner received a phone call informing him that his family member was involved in a life threatening traffic accident. My partner went outside the restaurant to take the call and I asked the waiter whether it would be possible to slightly delay service while my partner was finding out what had happened. The waiter said it would be absolutely fine. Literally a few minutes later, a chef emerged from the kitchen shouting at me in front of other guests that we shouldnât have come to a restaurant if we wanted to be on the phone (despite the fact that my partner was taking the call outside the restaurant). When I was, once again, trying to explain the situation, he refused to listen and told me to get out. Although the waitress was clearly embarrassed by this outburst and was apologetic, the chef in question did not make any effort to apologise or to even listen. The experience was beyond anything I ever imagined could happen in a restaurant which charges these prices or any restaurant for that matter. When I was shown the door of the restaurant, I went outside not only to find my partner in distress at the call he had received, but I had to tell him that we had no where to eat either and that we had been effectively chucked out into the cold. In a situation like this, when any restaurant would and should have shown human kindness and a little bit of patience, we were embarrassed in front of other guests and treated like dirt. Such a place doesnât deserve to be in business.Dear SirFirst I would like to express that I hope that your friend's family is okay. Concerning what happened yesterday, I can only say that the chef was way out of line. This is not his normal behaviour. There was clearly a miscommunication between the waiter and the chef. I wish to offer our deepest apologies for what happened. Kind regardsChris Mestdagh

We went here on the eve of a special birthday for my wife. The place is beautifully cosy and run by a husband (chef) and wife team. The food was excellent and our hostess was very hard working and friendly. Definitely recommend it.

Weâve had a great meal here and a relaxing evening. Service was good too. Got offered a little soup as a pre starter. Good choice of food on the menu. Hot, cold starters. Kangaroo was on the menu for mains. I tried it and it was amazing. Good flavour and so soft.

If full grade is 5 points, I will give my grading regarding the following aspects:Hanger steak, chimichurri sauce, watercress, Hasselback potatoes: 5Catch of the day (sea bass), mashed potatoes from chevril, cassave, mussel sauce: 5Mocktail: 4Finger foods as complimentary: 4Appearance: 5Portion size: 3Value: 4Clean: 4Service: 4Environment: 5This stylish bistro is definitely a good place to relax by dining the tasty dishes and beverage. This restaurant is decorated by vibrant colors and entertaining figures to make a special atmosphere here. The main dishes were as good as the decoration of this restaurant. Not only the delicate flavor, but also had outstanding garnishing and food presentation. Sea bass with mussel sauce was a brilliant way to combination that made this dish with condensed umami flavor. Hanger steak is one kind of steak which needs an advanced cooking ability to deal with the chewy texture. This restaurant did well one this dish, not too bloody like a raw meat and not too chewy. I could taste the natural flavor steak in every single meat.According to the above reasons, I recommend the guests who travel to Brugge not to miss this outstanding bistro.

We were in Bruges for a few days to celebrate my wife's birthday and I decided to look for something special for her birthday dinner. I chose Le Mystique from on-line research and booked through their website. The booking was quickly acknowledged followed by a message to provide a credit card number. This I did by telephone and received rapid confirmation. Prior to the due date I received a text reminder. We were greeted in a most friendly manner on arrival and shown straight to our reserved table - one of the best in the small restaurant area that was in use that evening. Although I had been asked in advance whether we had any allergies or intolerances I had unfortunately failed to mention that my wife does not eat fish.As the menu is based on a five course tasting menu - there is an a la carte option too - the chef was consulted about how my wife could have her five courses without fish. This was done without fuss and a suitable list of courses was quickly devised.By the time we had an appetiser and other little treats between courses it felt as if we had eight course rather than five! Each offering was exquisite in both taste and presentation and we had a most delightful meal which will long be remembered for all the right reasons.Service was efficient by well informed staff who seemed genuinely eager to please. The meal was not cheap but this was fine dining done very well. Highly recommended for a special occasion.Dear guest,We feel honored that you have chosen our restaurant for the special occasion of your wife's birthday. We would really like to thank you for taking your time to review your dinner with us and will personally make sure that your kind words are transferred to the entire team.It is highly important to us to exceed each of our guests' expectations and we like to do whatever possible in order to achieve that, even if there is an unforeseen situation! We look forward to welcoming you again on your next visit in the magical city of Bruges!Kind regards,Johan, Isabelle and team

Welcome to the Parkrestaurant ! A stylish yet relaxed restaurant in a 19th-century listed Townhouse, facing the beautiful Koningin Astrid Park. Family owned since 1989. Traditional, simple, yet tasty, Belgian cuisine. Jazzy background music. Menu formulas
Following a wonderful 15 day SCENIC River Cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam, my wife and I spent 3 nights in Amsterdam and 4 in Bruges (Belgium) at Hotel de Orangerie. While in Bruges, we dined at the Park Restaurant. Axel (co-owner) with his brother Frederic (co-owner, CHEF) run an INCREDIBLE SHOW. From start to finish, the attention, food, adult beverages, ambiance, email follow-up "pre and post" were ALL what the WORLD needs more of. Simply AMAZING - Peter & Ann.
