Contrary to some other reviewers, our experiences with the Bistro remain excellent. We enjoyed a superb three course menu (choice of three options for starters, mains and desserts) on a quiet Saturday evening. Paired with very good red housewine. The atmosphere was good also with the open fire on. Service was personal yet professional. Warmly recommended!

This restaurant is located in a quite remote area in a small village, Valthe. It is an old farm converted to a restaurant. The ambience is accordingly, but in a stylish way. The tables are centred around a big fireplace, where guests are welcomed with an aperitif. In the surrounding area, it is the only restaurant on a more culinary level, being listed in the Michelin guideThe restaurant works without a written menu. Instead, you only decide how many courses (3-8), what you like and dislike and a menu is created for you. We went for 6 courses and informed the kitchen we wanted to drink a glass of white and a bottle of red wine and the menu was adjusted accordingly. We had 2 fish courses (one with shell fish), 2 meat courses including the main, cheese and a desert. The wine list is quite extensive, with wines from may countries.

Was there for a family event and everything was perfectly organised, felt very welcome. Food was of good quality and more then enough for everybody. Relaxing atmosphere.

We were here with the personel and their partners of the company where my wife is employed, about 20 people. We were the only people there. Reception at a cosy fireplace. Friendly and accurate service. We were offered 2 choices for starters, main course and desert. The food was good, but some of it was served to cold, and the meat wasn't of a constant quality. Can't say anything about the price, because everything was paid by my wife's boss.
