I went to this place with a local French friend who had known the place before. Newly introduced to the authentic French cuisine the crepes I had here have cemented my love for it. You can tune your crepe according to your taste. In dessert I had a salte caramel crepe with vanilla ice cream. And that was the climax of taste. The portions are reasonable and the prices are fair for the quality and quantity you get. Would love to come back.

The fresh fish here is stunning, and you can eat like kings for about 40⬠a head. We had a salad of scallops and stuffed mussels for starters, then monkfish with piperade, which was huge. Rice or baked potatoes are the only sides. Here fish is the star, as the wet fish counter proves. The service is lovely, correct but relaxed, in line with the feel of the place. The boss always offers us a free digestif, then some other customers invited us for a drink on the terrace, it's that kind of place. And watching surfers as you eat is really amazing. Love Tantina, love Bidart, love Pays Basque!

Visited with my family while on holiday. Booking definitely recommended in peak season. Great pizzas and excellent cote de boef washed down with decent priced wine and wonderful views from the terrace. Lovely service as well. Recommended

Apéritif downstairs with some tapas and enjoyable view.Diner upstairs, food was good so was the service. We had heard such great comments about the place, and had probably higher expectations then it was delivered. It was more average then amazing with a couple of pricy dishes.

We are a traditional Basque restaurant of about 50 seats, with a terrace overlooking the village square and views of the mountains. You can taste the local specialties (local charcuterie, tapas, Spanish hake, chipions à la plancha, veal axoa, txuleta 1kg
I think I expected something more from this restaurant. I ordered a salad with ham and cheese and my husband a fish. The lettuce was not really fresh (some leaves were dark) and I think that the fish was heated in microwave, as they arrive a few minutes after we ordered and it's impossible to cook that fish in such a short time. The location is really nice and the service was good.

On a wet and windy night found ourselves the first people in the restaurant. The waitress went through the food available and we shared the starter platter. It was superb - a massive plateful of regional specialities. The calamares were particularly good, but it was all delicious. I had the hake main course, my wife the pork. Again both were fantastic. We had a bottle of the Basque red wine. It was full-bodied and superb.By the time we left the place was full but this did not detract from the great service

Cosy restaurant in the center of Bidart with local and seasonal product. Open every evening from 7pm till 11.30Pm homemade cocktails.....
We can't fault this small friendly restaurant. The food was delicious & beautifully presented & the service by both waiters was efficient, friendly & they made excellent recommendations. It was so good we went back the next night & if anything it was even better. Make sure you book as it is always busy & they turned so many people away.

Really enjoyed our visit to this charming restaurant! The owner was really committed and friendly and introduced us to the Basque food. We tried the buffet with lots of different, tasty Basque "tapas" (with a twist of Madagascar), three different main courses and a variety of desserts. Loved La Tarte Basque! Wine, beer, soft drinks and coffee were included in the price and also a small glass of homemade liquor which the owner offered us after finishing our meal. Can warmly recommend this restaurant in Bidart!

Really good home made food and really friendly service. We were greeted at the door and felt looked after all through the meal. Its a relaxed 'non bling' environment with a surf shack feel. Burgers, salads, cocktails and the best gâteau basque ever tasted! I would definitely go back!

Welcome to Les Frères Ibarboure where culinary excellence and the art of hospitality run in the family. The new generation of brothers, Xabi and Patrice Ibarboure are now at the helm of this Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant on the Basque Coast. The
If you can find your way to this restaurant--a considerable challenge--you'll have one of the best meals in the region. I disagree with a previous reviewer who claimed the cuisine was unimaginative. I thought it was interesting, refined, and... imaginative! The setting is also a treat: large windows making for a luminous dining room, well-spaced tables, and lovely views. The best among the 5-6 Michelin starred restaurants in the Biarritz area at which I dined recently.
