Great experience and authentic Alsatian food. A wonderful outdoor dining venue where you are not on a street, but in a quiet patio. Pretty good English spoken, and very helpful staff. Beware of the portion size! Many dishes are plenty for two, and can be shared!

In an authentic wine cellar with a warm and refined atmosphere, the restaurant La Cave du Bailli suggests a home made cuisine where raw products are processed by the Chef and his team to satisfy all taste buds. An imaginative menu declined seasonally, whe
A fun place for a simple lunch (although I think one can order more substantial fare). My husband ordered a Tarte Flambee Gratinee and I had the Tarte a l'oignon. Although we were ordering at the end of the lunch service, both 'tartes' were fresh, hot, and very tasty. My onion tart came with a salad that would have made a meal unto itself. To top things off, after we had finished our meals, the waiter brought to the table the remaining slice of the (onion) tart because lunch service/kitchen was closed. Servers friendly and attentive and truly a good ratio of value to money. Highly recommended.

Few times are so impressed but we were here. Excellent food. Wonderful and very friendly staff. We are inside late with a small group of locals one night then outside for lunch another time. Their English was sparse but with it was not a problem. We have been in this region several times living close by and this is a favorite place.

Walking down from castle Haut Koenigsbourg, this is the place to stop. The location is uninspiring (no view) but the food is good and good value for money, the service both friendly and slightly formal/old-fashioned, if you can imagine that combination.

We've eaten at the restaurant regularly in the last five years but the food this visit on the 51⬠was rather disappointing. The asparagus soup amuse bouche, sliced foie gras with rhubarb chutney (although the wild fennel flavour was not noticeable) starter, and the tiger prawns with risotto and asparagus were all tasty. But the rack of lamb meat was very sinewy, hard-to-cut and chewy despite being pink and the accompanying pepper, tomato, courgette and olive fricassée was sad. Both the elder-infused rhubarb and the strawberry desserts were bland and more like afterthoughts. The service was, as usual, good and unobtrusive.Hopefully a one-off. We'll be back.

Even arriving after normal lunch hour we were accepted with a smile. Seated in the cosy garden, we enjoyed delicious white asparagus with ham, accompanied with a glass of Klevener - excellent ! - produced in Heiligenstein, 25min drive away. The service couldn't be better. A nice resting and eating place after having discovered the pittoresque village.

The local restaurant in pretty little town with local people. It's very relaxing. This is a good place to have a relaxing meal. Friendly service. We had Alsacienne and Quiche Alsace-alaorraine. About The Alsacienne, the dough was...ok but the toppings were great. The Quiche was very good and they served a lot of salad with it which is very fresh. It was a perfect mid-afternoon snack! Thank you very much chanakrid for the gratulation and the photo.....

My faith in Ribeauville has been restored. Merci! After a dreadful experience at the Wistub zum Pfifferhaus, we lunched here. They were obviously under pressure, with lots of lunchers including a 20-strong party of Swedes. Nevertheless we were welcomed warmly and shown to a nice table. In June 2019 there were two fixed menus at 33 and 44 euros. There was also a la carte. In summary, the food, wines, and service were all impeccable. There was an eclectic choice of meat fowl and fish. There was a good selection of local wines, backed up by some from further afield. All served unfailingly well by a very cheerful pair of personnel. The cuisine was excellent. A broth of fresh peas was inventive and delightful. Loin of veal with morilles and a classic sauce was to die for. Cod tasted so fresh considering the distance from the sea. Cheeses were carefully chosen. Deserts were mouth-wateringly homemade. We were so impressed we booked again for tomorrow!! This place is (only slightly) out of town so it doesnât have the footfall of tourists. But go there! It is worth the detour. What a refreshing change from the dire Wistub zum Pfifferhaus, which I reviewed elsewhere in Trip Advisor. Both are in Guide Michelin; Wistub is heading for expulsion, Menetriers is headed for stardom!

Passing through and sleeping here, i had dinner in the very cosy and nice, traditionally decorated restaurant, a bit separated from the hotel. High quality local specialities, very good, maybe somewhat traditional wine list with lots of local toppers, very friendly, very welcoming. Ate a wonderful terrine here and some tradtional tripes d'alsace. Very high quality, nice place.
