Chat Noir is surely fine dining in a quaint; however, spacious and exquisitely decorated atmosphere. The food is âto die forâ and I rarely say that! I had the seafood crepe as an appetizer and the grouper with a light olive oil/garlic sauce. Iâm definitely returning to this comfortable restaurant with a warm ambiance!

This is my second time at Apertif and it was just as good as the first. There are plenty of entrees to choose from, however I enjoy choosing the small plates/appetizers to feast on. Filet mignon tacos were topped with a vegetable slaw that was incredible. Zucchini pancakes were served with a yogurt dill sauce and the flatbread with caramelized onions and prosciutto were perfect for the two of us. In addition, we each got our own salad and left there feeling satisfied but not over stuffed. Parking can be a bit difficult during busy times, so make sure you bring quarters for the meter.

Mixed assessment on this one. Small entry to restaurant was filthy. Table as requested for group. At first our waiter was somewhat âsnarkyâ. He became more receptive as the evening progressed. Our cocktails were all good but arrived in three deliveries. Appetizers of onion soup, tuna tartare, Caesar salad, and scallops excellent. Main courses: lamb excellent, branzino and sole dry, duck very good, steak returned as overdone and chewy...replaced w lamb. No problem getting this replaced. Desserts: creme brûlée, bananas foster, profiteroles top notch. None of the ladies used the restroom. Gentlemen said it was not acceptable.

Wayne French Kitchen brings Manhattan style French bistro to the neighborhood of Oceanside without the big city hustle and bustle. Temporarily closed for renovation & will re-open on October 2019 as per announcement in Yelp
We passed by yesterday and decided to give it a try for brunch. I was reluctant to order an omelette - this side of the Atlantic they are always overcooked and usually accompanied by soggy home fries. The omelette was perfect as were the French fries. The fresh brewed iced tea was also very good. The wait staff was great - so professional but more welcoming and friendly than true French wait staff. We will certainly return for an evening meal. We hope the chef will bake and serve fresh baguettes in the future. Looking forward to returning very soon.
