The restaurant looks trendy and has an eclectic interior style, slightly unexpected in this rural setting. The food was very nice, one could immediately tell they source their ingredients locally. Sometimes there was not enough protein with the veg for my taste, and I didn't like any of the paired drinks, but overall this was very interesting.

This little restaurant is a very comfortable local venue in Méteren which I hoped would bat above its average - in truth, it didnât. My steak was so cold when it arrived that I had to send it back so my rare steak became well done without much improvement in its temperature. Mrs O should never have ordered the emince de volaille smothered in cheese sauce, but she did & didnât like it. No 1 daughter had a burger that was also too cold and ultimately not finished. Is it too much to expect a restaurant to serve their hot food hot?

Had a great family meal with us eating two courses of incredible Flanders' cuisine and including drinks for 5 of us and cost of only 115 Euros. Great service and atmosphere. Lots of local families in here too.

Our Speciality is Chicken (since 1983) and Sparerib (since 1997) on the Roasting spit. We also have Beefbrochette and children menu. We also served snacks from 11:30 untill 9:30 pm. We have 170 seats inside and 50 seats outside, accessible for wheelchair.

This was one of the few bars open when we visited so went three times. Friendly staff and patrons - lots of hand-shaking and bonsoir-ing. Very nice 8.5% beer - 3 monts.

We gave just eaten here, friendly staff and good ambiance .my salmon was very dry and over cooked, husbands duck past it's best, very chewy. Sons pork cheeks superb but the dauphinoise potatoes were seriously over cooked , and obviously reheated.but the waitress did keep suggesting we had the chips ???Disappointed as other reviews were so good, ( maybe the chefs night off ) ?

We have eaten twice here and been pleased with both meals, staff are friendly andhelpful. The menu does not vary much from the usual Flanders offer but is well done. They did provide a very nice special of chicken tagliatelle.

A restaurant that is too full on a Tuesday in February to seat a couple must be doing something right so we returned with a reservation on Saturday and were not disappointed. Starters were 2 goats cheese & honey and one half cooked scallops with mushroom which were all delicious. A scallop risotto & the pave de rumpsteak were excellent. In a spirit of adventure I had the boite chaude Jura - a boxed cheese roasted in the over with assorted cold meats. It was very tasty but I wonder if Iâd order it again. The atmosphere was excellent & the staff helpful and friendly. The place to go in Bailleul (with a reservation)

We stayed at La Howarderie and had breakfast & dinner here for four days. The breakfast was "standard" from the grocery store fare, but plenty. The dinner was cooked to order and nice. The salad with chevre pastry was great. The lime sorbet was great as well. Its a popular place. The owner-couple run the farm and the B&B.
