Find out what French restaurants to try in Avoriaz. Hugging the Swiss border, this stylish resort gets over 26 feet of snow each winter. Villages des Enfants, for kids and young teens, is the perfect place for learning. Softski is for adult newcomers or those who've been away for a while, while The Stash is Europe's first giant ecological snowboard park.

We ate at the Globe-Trotter at least five times (primarily because it was very close to the ski school and our kids were ravenous after skiing for the morning). The food was good. The only downside was that it was pretty expensive (although to be expected at a ski resort) and service was a little slow when the ski crowds came in.

Le Yeti is right on the piste and a really convenient lunch stop, just opposite where all the ski schools drop off after morning lessons. On a sunny day it's heaven: loads of alfresco seating (including deck chairs) and a great atmosphere with upbeat music playing. The menu is seriously extensive, the portions are generous and the food and drinks served quickly. We had no reason at all the complain! A solid place to meet for everything from a hot chocolate to a full meal.

If youâre looking for a light and flavourful piste-side snack - look no further than La Tanière, across from the top of Prodains. Whether youâre feeling like pizza or crepes or homemade tarts - theyâve got you covered! Iâve not been quite hungry enough yet to try the « formule du jour » but the portions are generous and it always looks great. Try their delish Savoyarde pizza if you are wanting something with a local touch!

Visited over Easter ski holidays with Adult friends and their kids aged 11 to 13 year old. Everyone was very happy with their food and the service was great.Visited again over the final few days of the winter season late April with grown up buddies and again the food and service was brilliant. Good value for being on the piste. The best in Les Linderets.

Great lunch the the meals were divine, service was the kindest and quickest you would ever see plus a stunning view of the glistening Alps. I would certainly recommend it. We even went three times in one week! Portions were very generous, children's menu was spot on (all though I would recommend adding a vegetarian pasta friendly option!), and prices were good value for the Alps.

We have had lunch twice in 4 days whilst skiing in chatel. As always the food and service are great. The mont dâor is a particular speciality and should be shared as itâs so rich. The burgers are the best I have found on or off the mountain. The only issue is that if you want to sit indoors you have to book well ahead and they only have 2 sittings, 12.15 and 13.45. So Itâs a bit inflexible. I look forward to coming back next year.

We didnât book. The Manager greeted us with disdain and sat us in an awkward table in a corner as we hadnât booked. The regular tables remained empty as we ate our meal. It took 20 minutes to get a drink order in and we were served warm beer. Oh dear. Almost walked at this point and should have but everyone deserves a chance. The mains were Mont Dâor, Eântrecote and Tartar. It was all very average and over priced. The service was shocking with only 5 tables on the go. Please donât bother unless you want to feel unwelcome and get warm beer. After being extremely patient itâs a big letdown.

Take a seat in a Savoyard chalet and discover a generous and tasty gourmet cuisine inspired by the mountain.
What a fabulous restaurant. We go to Avoriaz every year however this year was the first dining here. We went twice. The food was amazing. Presentation was fabulous and wine was very good. It is more expensive than others in Avoriaz but you pay for what you get. I had the Escargot and steak main course and every dish in our group was commented how nice it tasted. Both times in the week were consistently amazing. we will be back next year. Warm interior and the kitchen on full view so you can see the hard working team in action.

Popped in for après, itâs a bit off the main routes, so was really quiet.Serving mostly wine & spirits, 2 up market bottled beers. They serve a light selection of food to complement a good bottle of wine - charcuterie, cheese or a mix, tapenade or oystersOwner was really friendly and helpful.Likely gets busier a font later.
