We tried to visit this restaurant three separate times over a four day period in July. Once we had a large party (4 adults and 5 children), so we assumed we were denied because of the children. The other two times we returned with just the two adults. We were denied service each time.Every time we went we offered to wait to be seated and/or could see several empty tables in the restaurant. They always said they didn't have enough waitstaff or were too busy or had a large reservation coming later. No matter what we tried they always had an excuse for why they wouldn't serve us.We were looking forward to eating here since we had heard good things about the restaurant and it was near where we were staying. Instead, it was the biggest negative of our entire time in France and Spain. I don't know if the food is good or not, but don't go here expecting to be served. Have a back-up plan in mind before you arrive.

Super friendly staff and a wide menu selection. Vegetarians will have no problems finding food here. No meat, dairy, etc. was a bit more challenging but not impossible. Wait staff didnât bat an eye when I asked for a pasta dish without bacon or cheese. Wonderful view of Arromanches beach.

Ordered 2 set menus with 2 beers and a lemonade expecting the bill to come to about â¬58. It was a quite a shock to find an extra â¬18 had been added on in tax! Had this not been our first meal in France for a long time and we hadn't been tired after travelling all day we perhaps would have queried it. But we didn't and it wasn't until we had moved onto our next destination that we found out that the price on the menu should be by law the price that appears on the bill! The lady had been very charming, spoke good English and served us a very nice meal and had we not been ripped off with the bill we would have given a much more favourable review for the meal itself.hello, I'm sorry, because there must have been an error on your bill, because I'm not used to make additional prices, you should have come to see me to solve the problem, damage .... cordially o zen dunes

The food served in this cafe is typically what you would expect from a cafe near a tourist attraction. Fast food without too much taste. The burgers were fine, but I will happily volunteer to teach the chef how to make a proper quiche lorraine! The service is very good and fast though.

I had a great meal here with friends. The fish dishes on the menu were all very good and plentiful portions. Homemade seafood soup for starter was excellent, friends had massive bowls of moules, and i had the Turbot fillets for main course. All enjoyed our meals and the staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Seemed good value for money and I would recommend.

A restaurant that can only be described using the superlative, regarding all of its aspects! The absolutely excellent food is what determined me to spend my vacation days in Normandy once again, and I I think that says a lot! The menu is diverse, varying from chicken, duck, beef and fish to all kinds of savory seafood! Everything is fresh and cooked at a perfect pace, so that you don't wait too long for your food; the portions are friendly and stuffing; the plating is on point; you can work up an appetite by simply looking at the dishes! There are also starter plates, salads, desserts, drinks; basically everything that you could want. The service is on a Speedy Gonzales level; very fast! The hosts are incredibly welcoming and friendly, treating their customers with warmth and professionalism. There are two terraces: one of them is covered, whilst the other is in open air with a view of the sea. The are approximately 100 seats available for those clients that can appreciate amazing food, an exceptional personnel and a welcoming atmosphere. Reservations are required, and to me, that seems absolutely fitting! I am certain I shall return again and again, because such a thing is not to be missed!Thank you La Barak'a, I am delighted to have had the luck and the honor to find you and relish with my whole being what you offer!

Stopped for lunch, had cider, a beer and delicious crepes. (Good coffee too.) Both savoury and dessert crepes. Calm and pleasant atmosphere and the owner put on some gorgeous classical music... It was busy that day, but we were welcomed in anyway. Seems to be a favourite with the locals too. We would recommend it. A vert short stroll from the beach, port area.

The food was good. The service was a little slow. The dessert was the best part of the meal. I would visit again, but wouldn't go out of may to get there.

Ne ne prenons pas de réservation pendant l'été ( retard des clients, 1 seul serveur , etc...) Merci de votre compréhension
We tried to eat here on more than one occasion during our short stay in Arromanche without success. We read to reviews on Trip Advisor so appreciate it is very busy, but even in peak summer it is not open everyday, or late, and the waiter was rude and uninterested in welcoming guests or suggesting they come back on another day (this didn't happen just the once, it was every time we attempted to eat there). Definitely put off by that attitude and with a good choice of other places to eat in the town, we were happy to spend our money elsewhere.
