Discover Restaurants offering the best French food in Arnhem, Gelderland Province, The Netherlands. A sizable city in its own right, Arnhem is best known today as the site of one of the most famous battles of World War II. Given city rights in 1233, it has long been at the center of conflicts because of its strategic location on the banks of the Rhine River. The Battle of Arnhem, part of Operation Market Garden, was fought in September 1944. Advancing Allied forces, in large part due to a series of mistakes, failed to secure a key bridge and suffered defeat, delaying the Allied advance into Germany until the following spring. The 1977 movie "A Bridge Too Far" was based on the events here.

Visited Bootsma recently on a short visit to Arnhem. Outside the main city, but worth a visit. It was evening when we arrived and so difficult to assess the surroundings completely, but a village type feel to the area. We had not booked a table, but this was no problem. The place seemed to be popular with locals and there was a farewell gathering, but this did not detract from our evening. We received a nice welcome and were quickly shown to a table. Nice ambience and decor and the staff friendly, helpful and welcoming. Being gluten free was not an issue and they checked with the kitchen to be certain that what I had requested would be suitable. The food was excellent. For two people with 2 glasses of wine, 2 mains, 2 deserts and 1 espresso it was 59.90 euros.

An early dinner with business colleagues, although the menu looked interesting we went with the starter/main/dessert of the day recommended by the waiter. Perfect choice, interesting langoustine with coffee sauce, excellent wild pig and perfect brownie dessert, the problem of choice removed with excellent service! A real pleasure

If you are in Arnhem (there are many reasons to be) and looking for an informal dinner in great ambiance, fabulous friendly service, and weather permitting love to eat outside in a city garden, there is just one place to be. Small menu, all very tasteful. All the housewines are great as much as surprising. My favorite, no doubt!

A great visit to a remarkeble restaurant! The food was a surprise and very, very good. A mixture of Asian and European food. We had a great time, even with two of us having a special diet! Is was very busy, so we had to wait a little while, for us no problem because we were in good company.A big YES from us all with a big 10! We will COME BACK!

Graaf Otto is a trendy cosy hotspot in Arnhem near Sonsbeekpark to enjoy a good coffee or drink. Our restaurant serves perfect French/Italian dishes for lunch or dinner.
An easy going restaurant. Entrance and bar are downstairs, main part of the restaurant is on the 1st floor. Nice atmosphere, good food. They serve a bottle of tap water on the side, which shows their hospitality. Pleasant service. The kitchen is open, which is fine... untill they started scrubbing the floor. The noice of cleaning and the soap doesn't combine well with dining. For the rest a place to go back to.

Nice and cosy restaurant. Great food, nice wines and a lot of several beers. Staff is very friendly and speaks english, french and german.
Very friendly staffs, and nice food, good atmosphere. Due to unknown reason, the main course was served a little slow. Compared with the other Dutch restaurants which are normally not good enough for services, this restaurant is far more better. If you go to Arnhem, this restaurant is worthy to try.

Struggling to find a nice place to dine for a reasonable price in Arnhem, we ended up here. We were ok with the final outcome. Starter, vitello tonato was very good. Main, lamb stew, was a bit disappointing in overal presentation and composition, though satisfactory in taste. Desert was very much ok. Service is friendly and attentive. Setting a bit like a full service restaurant. Overall score 4-5 out of 5. So make it a 5.
