The cuisine at August is contemporary French with a focus on local ingredients, inspired by Chef John Besh's classical training here and in Europe, and by the depth of his own Southern Louisiana roots. August is located in an historic 19th century French-
This was one of the most memorable dinners anywhere. The staff is professional and well versed in food and wine. Plates that are a feast for the eyes as well and the soul. The Sommelier was a wealth of information and made excellent suggestions. The lagniappe was a surprise and part of August's desire to embrace the customer. Thank you for a special meal on a hot September night.

Really enjoyed the authentic, unique setting with talented entertainers. Trumpet player and trio were terrific and venue was intimate. They kind of circulate around the the separate dining areas every 20 mins(ish) so enjoy while they are seranading your room! The food was top notch although pricey so go hungry to enjoy to the fullest!

The wine list and unique cocktails are fine dining quality. Not sure why they call it a café because they serve full-blown meals. I had the very best gulf shrimp and grits Iâve ever tasted. The chef is over the top.

Meauxbar is a French bistro located on a picturesque corner of North Rampart Street bordering the historic French Quarter and Treme neighborhoods. Our food reflects the global influence of French cuisine and is sourced from a wide array of local purveyors
Loved, loved, loved this elegantly simplistic dinner this evening. Dishes were very fresh and delicious. Iâve had some totally blah New Orleanâs âchainâ tourist traps lately in the Quarter, but so thrilled I found this charming and unique little place. The market place salad special and Redfish Almandine totally hit the spot. Well done and Iâll be back!!

Tomas Bistro is an upscale event venue located in one of New Orleans most exciting and fashionable neighborhoods, the Warehouse District. In a city that takes entertaining so seriously, Tomas Bistro is a local favorite.
My cousin was married here and after the ceremony, the chairs were taken down and the entire place held the reception. The food was perfect, from the oysters on the shell, to the seafood pasta and the beef tenderloin, we couldn't decide what was the best. The buffet also included a wonderful baked Brie along with chicken gumbo that many went back for seconds.
