Never go there the food is bad. Not cooked and everything but fresh. The staf isn't polite. I didn't even finish my food it was that bad. Mister, Please be truthful in your comment. What did you eat ? What did you dislike ? Maybe your meal wasn't at your taste but I can assure you that everything is fresh and cooked as good as possible. If you didn't like what you were eating, you should have come to us and we would have make it at your taste. Why are you saying "the staff isn't polite" ? Both tenants, we are always there making sure everything is doing okay in the restaurant. It's too bad that you didn't come to us directly instead of complain here and generalize about our work.

A good welcome from the staff on what was a quiet-ish Sunday night. A varied menu made for a pleasant evening. The access is a touch tricky at times is the only drawback.

Much improved eatery. Centre of the town and busy at the end of French school holidays.Service was fast and effective. Fondue was both tasty and quick. Children's menu went down well with the little people especially the extra ice cream.Coffee and free genepi is always going to get a good review

Where to begin... we were excited to try this restaurant based on the reviews. Maybe it was just a bad day but NOTHING we ordered was tasty! Super slow service. They didnât have about 1/3 of the dishes from the menu... what we received was of low quality and greasy... the only thing positive thing is itâs location and pleasant interior... found amazing restaurant in Allos the next day...

Only stayed for coffee early one morning but the location is stunning, well worth the 45" hike up a well defined path from the car park. Make an early start to appreciate the place at its most peaceful or better yet stay the night.

Another French restaurant in this area with totally unwelcoming service. Both occasions greeted with "have you reserved" and despite being empty we felt like leaving after 5 mins as they huffed and told us a "lesson" that we should reserve..... they seemed more upset to have our money than us leaving! It remained pretty empty on both evenings so no idea what the stress was about. Pity as food was very good......

We arrived to this restaurant by chance we couldn't communicate with the hostess , she didn't know a word in English , no English menu and it was very hard for us to pick the right choices from the menu. Until now I have no idea what sort of meal I have had and it is such a pity. The place is very nice

We got the this restaurant because my father found it while wandering about the resort while we were skiing. I'm pointing this out because the restaurant is very well hidden - into a little commercial gallery, down a flight of steps, to the left - and that's a very good thing - you don't get the crowds one find in the restaurants on the main square (it's more difficult for people with all the ski gear to get there). The ambiance is good without a fancy decor, but with reasonably priced and fairly good tasting food. The hosts are very welcoming - it seems it's they are all part of the same family which adds a certain cosiness to the place. They warned us our order was going to take some time, while at the same time bringing the food for the kids faster. The menu is not big, mainly mountain stuff (like the fondue which we had for two persons and was very good without being too heavy) + pancakes (of the two French sorts crepes (sweet) and sarazzine (salted)) with various stuffings/fillings. I tried the Feuilleté au chèvre which was very good - the flaky yeast dough felt a lot like the one from a really good croissant. The coffee - I had an espresso and my wife a cappuccino - was one of the best we had in the south of France in a normal restaurant. As for price, we payed about 100 euros for 3 adults (double fondue, Feuilleté au chèvre, big salad plus coffees) and two kids ( two pancakes, two strawberry tartes) + some cokes and juices. All in all we found it to be very reasonable

What a delight to find this excellent family run restaurant tucked away in the centre of La Foux D'Allos. There is always a friendly welcome and the 'mountain' food is tasty, substantial and home cooked largely based on potatoes, charcuterie, pasta and cheese. Very good value children's menus are available. It is very popular and reservations are generally required.
