We had four different starters and four different mains, all of excellent quality. Very relaxiong atmosh[here, no pressure to eat (or drink) quickly once orders taken. Last orders are 9pm out of high season - not a problem if you are aware of this - but the bar is open for long afterwards.

With no idea of where to go after visiting Les Gorges du Verdon, we avoided the crowded tourist restaurant on la place, and walked up the steps to this wonderful little restaurant, greeted by the charming âmoiâ.(Elise was her grandmother who lived in this quaint little house).Surprisingly delicious lunch of tapas, and lasagne. And very natural welcome from the lovely boss. An authentic gem in a pretty village.Milles mercis pour ces beaux compliments !

We have visited this restaurant many times with friends from all over the world and always enjoyed its friendly atmosphere but yesterday - my wife's 70th birthday - was very different. We arrived for lunch and stood waiting for a few minutes but were ignored. We were surprised how many tables were empty - but soon found out why!We sat down in the shade and waited again but no one came. As a waiter passed I asked if it was ok to sit where we were. The waiter very rudely said "I don't know" and rushed off. He came back some minutes later and proceeded to give us a lecture on the correct way to behave on arrival! Apparently we should not have sat down without his permission - he spoke as if talking to a naughty child. Despite his rudeness I asked politely if we could have a beer. His reply was "No - you wait"! At this point we left vowing never to return. We have never met such rude, pompous and self-important behaviour from a waiter before in our lives.

We had the most choice for vegetarian dinner in this place : Ravioles with parmesan, Pesto and dried tomatoes, huge and generous greek salad, creamy speculoos tiramisu. The terrace definitely offers a better view than the inside. I loved the food and will definitely recommend it to friends

Right in the middle of a touristic village, at the beginning of the greatest canyon in Europe and near the lake Ste Croix.Le Restaurant l'Escapade offers you a traditional "french cuisine" using fresh and local products.Open every day for lunch and dinner
The Croustade of Camembert (Filo dough filled with cheese and roasted apples) was perfect for lunch, with a venere rice (risotto like) as side dish. I also tasted the panna Cotta which was allright. The restaurant is well located in the center, offers a sunny terrace and the service is fair. The prices are a bit high though, but the menu is original and I think that's the reason.

Have you ever take a good time for a lunch time or a dinner in our garden with a beautiful view on the Lake of "Sainte Croix"? A simple food made of fresh meat and fish, to taste with very interesting wine of Provence. Enjoy!
Having booked a table and after seating rain starts is not good. We were reseated inside in a restaurant that is all about âvue du Lacâ lake view. Rain stopped during main course why we asked to sit outside during the dessert. The waiter told us ânot possibleâ as they would have to dry all the tables. Suddenly new customers come in and are seated outside - after the table was cleaned. While waiting for the dessert - frustrated - another waiter turns up and ask if we would like the dessert outside. IF WE WOULD! Whispering with the guy that told us no ended up us seated outside. Thank you Maxime - you have a great future ahead of you in service business. By the way - food was great but totally lost in frustration how we were treated. Fix the service focus - and you are back on the block âLe Côté Lacâ.

So nice we found this cosy spot! We had lovely entrecote with a very nice honeysauce. The dessert was very good as well. Friendly service and an overwhelming atmosphere!

The style, the atmosphere, the ambiance: all quite Verdon. Our destination was the lake St. Cross, by driving through this village on our way to the lake, we had lunch here. We didn't go for set lunch cause no one really liked duck breast in our group, so I had the only fish dish in the menu, the other two went for boring tagliatelle carbonara and ham salad. My fish was absolutely tasteless and could tell it was frozen. The other two neither praised or criticised their meals, so I guessed they were passable. Two of us had ice-cream as dessert and the bill ended up at 65â¬, and best of all , they took holiday voucher (cheque vacance). The staff were quite polite though, a one-off lunch experience was fine, didn't think we would likely to come back shortly.

A very small restaurant with terrace . The sort of local restaurant serving local home cooked dishes that is now hard to find in Provence where nearly every restaurant serves the same rubbish . This is a two person Bar/ Restaurant .A very friendly owner serving at table with his talented wife in the kitchen . Very small blackboard menu that changes daily . Good cheap house wine. Well worth the climb up to this out of the way village with stunning views over the Lac St Croix . Don't expect a gourmet meal its just good honest local food well cooked .

La Part des Anges is modeled on Spanish Tapas restaurant with a shared-eating concept. We aim to serve only the freshest ingredients, sourced locally and ethically as possible. Located in a 12th century hotel, the terrace offers a nice view on Moustier's
We arrived a little late into Moustiers and were trawling around the town looking for a bite to eat at around 2:45pm. Most places had just stopped serving lunch, but this restaurant welcomed us in. We weren't expecting much as it was basically our last option, but we had amazing seats on the shady terrace overlooking what has to be the most panoramic view from any restaurant in the town! The place was empty and the waiter who served us had excellent English (with an English accent... maybe he studied at an international school or has lived in the UK?) We ordered baked Camembert and a tomato tart, both of which were delicious. Plus the obligatory glass of Bau (a sparking Muscat made in nearby Fourcalquier -- yum)! Thanks for your feedback David, We are extremely happy you enjoyed your time here at La Part des Anges.
