The Best Filipino Restaurant, Bar & Banquet located in South San Francisco, CA, USA. We offer lunch buffet, Sunday Brunch, ala-Carte for dinner.
For a Good-bye lunch, my long-time friends suggested we celebrate at Fort McKinley Restaurant. We had not seen one another in person in 18 years, so we reconnected while having a delicious lunch of Filipino dishes. In buffet style presentation, one pays per person. Dessert is included.

Very good tasting Filipino dishes. We loved the Kare-kare, pinakbet, and inihaw na liempo! The sago't gulaman drink though was too sweet so my daughter had to dilute it with water.

this was my first time at a Filipino restaurant so I can't compare it to others but I thought it was delish. we went with a Filipino friend that did all the ordering and we had a ton of food. I thought the prices were very reasonable considering what you got. we had enough leftovers for a full dinner and then some. my only complaint was that they do not serve beer/wine which would have been so good with the dishes and they won't let you bring it in which I thought was odd. we ordered the seafood sinigang soup--similar to tom yum in Thailand cusine; lumpiang shanghai (yum); sizzling sisig, loved the onion and jalepeno on top of this well seasoned pork; chicken adobo, very tasty and Bicol's express which was my least favorite but still decent. the whole thing was about $60 including tax which I thought was decent considering it was enough food to feed 6 hungry folks. i'll be trying it again.

We're regular customers of Max's Restaurant for the past 10yrs. Although it's not the best Pinoy restaurant there is, can't complain about their food or the options on the menu. I love their fried chicken (thigh parts only) esp their bangus sisig. To me, their bangus sisig is the best and every Pinoy restaurant tries to duplicate it. Their pinakbet is delicious! Kare-kare is less than mediocre though! Boiled meat and boiled veggies with peanut sauce placed on top of it. Definitely skip that dish! Halo halo is worth trying!

If you are looking for a restaurant with very good filipino food, you have to try Toppings in Westborough, South San Fransisco..... You have to try Toppings! It's a very simple restaurant. Nothing high class and dress as you please...and the food is GREAT!I am a tocino lover, so you have to try their tocino a la carte.. It is NOT fried but grilled. Excellent taste and hardly any fat. Their sinigang na bangus, achara, and java rice was also okay. You are also given fortune cookies after your meal...Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Price is very reasonable.I strongly recommend this place to friends and family for a good filipino meal.
