It is bordered by Aia to the east and the south and Getaria to the west. It has four enclaves limiting the aforementioned municipalities: Alkortiaga, Ekano, Sola, and Arbestain. It's located about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) west of San Sebastián. As of 2014, Zarautz has a population of 22,890, which usually swells to about 60,000 in the summer.

After 2 weeks of pintxos and fresh fish our kids were dying for something fast F. Mele Mele was advised by our host of the B&B, because of the laid back surfer atmosphere and apparently decent burgers. Maybe because of the longing for a burger but to all of us they were one of the best we ever had. Creating your own was definitely a hit. Don't miss it if your in town!

This is one the best places in the world that i've visited for a sandwich. The menu is just brilliant because it has different options for sandwich. My fab is "Arguiñano" which is prepared with wild boar and "Robintxo" which is prepared with tuna and anchoves and a homemade souces. It's run by Lorena and Axel whom from the the moment that you arrived make feel like you are with friends. Specially for this is why i plan to come back for my sandwich with friends.

Walking past this lovely place we had a speedy dinner so we could surprise the smalls with an ice-cream. We made the mistake of having two scoops each and could barely eat them. All of the flavours we had were delicious and the servings were massive. It was only open 4pm - 7pm so we were lucky to catch it open. YUMMY!
