Vecindario has made the most of what it has. In recent years, considerable effort has gone into improving this sprawling town. Boasting the longest shopping street in Spain, this is the place to come to get away from the high prices and tourists in the south. Despite bring an 'ordinary' town, Vecindario offers a great range of shops, cafe bars and restaurants. Look out for the many statues and memorials around the town.

Ended up here after running out of options in an area that didn't have a lot of options for food. Pina colada was great! The staff were extremely attentive and helpful but the food was not great. Ham & cheese toastie wasn't bad but we ordered chicken and chips and the quality of the chicken wasn't great. I would say go for a chilled evening here for drinks or perhaps lunch but not ideal for dinner. For 2 drinks, toastie and chicken and chips (and side plate of garlic bread) it was 20 euros so good value if you aren't too fussy or just coming for drinks!

My favourite place to eat when I' hungry for freshly made food prepared from fresh makin's served in huge generous servings. Any of their yummy salads CANNOT be finished by even the most famished individual. The salads are for at least 3 people, even a whole family. Their salad dressing tends to be overwhelming tho, ask for "salsa aparte" and it will come in a dish so you can do it wourself. The nacos are a meal for two if ordered with a salad. Their chips with ham and cheese is enourmous! Their burgers ...sumptuous! I have 2 downsides...they get our orders right about half the time, but you just go back to counter with your receipt in hand and say, "Where are my nachos?" They move heaven and earth to fill you pr order ASAP, When they are busy, locals tend to stand at the counter for ages marveling and debating what to order from their huge selection. MickyDee's is just opposite and their fare is...standard Mac and comparing value and quality for money...Denis Roys wins hands down.If you are starving try Dens's full rack of ribs...a monster portion awaits you.Last words if you are trully hungry and not rich you can't beat Denis Roy.

Visited the Barraco on a Sunday morning with a group of friends for breakfast. It was a bit busy as expected, but service was still good and there was no longer wait despite the long line. Staff was friendly, running up and down to keep with all orders and cleaning tables. Bocadillo de Pata de Cerco is the main dish and must be eaten. The meat is soft and juice, bread is warm and fresh. Chose the inside as you wish but insure to add the local cheese Queso Terno! Churros with a cup of hot chocolate is also a good call, but as usual quite oily because itâs deep fried. Orange juice is made freshly with real oranges and no sugar added. Thank you Dear friend

This lovely friendly little restaurant was a stones throw from our apartment which was why we chose it however we were not disappointed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, portions are generous. Decor is bright and airy and our burgers were cooked to perfection. The menu is mainly burgers.
