Was craving BBQ. Ordered a BBQ slice which ended up to beef some roast beef slices(much like Arbys), with some kind of sauce on it. Had a very strange and peculiar odor and I didn't eat much of it!.The Potato Salad was scrumptious.My wife ordered a Roast Beef because she saw a 3' x 3' sign declaring it was a winner.Take my advice if you want Roast Beef got to Arby's. It is located right across the street!Don't know what the speciality is but I doubt if I will ever find out!

we attend Carolina Panthers Training Camp every year. the Beacon is saved for our last day in town. i usually order the chili cheese burger and fries. quite tasty. you could order it "a plenty" which means plate is covered with fries and onion rings. way too much food for me but plenty of people order it. the shining star of the place is the sweet tea. made with hint of lemon. sooooo good!! free refills and refill stations are scattered around restaurant. you can also get it without lemon, but you would be missing out. menu is large and i understand they are open for breakfeast but have never made there that early. the beacon was featured on diners, drive ins and dives. we look forward to returning every year.

Fresh, hot off the grill food. Made to order Hot dogs, burritos, corndogs, Tacos, etc. Worth the small few min wait. You will come back again and again to Taco Dog. From the minute we walked it the lady's behind the counter were so friendly and so was the rest of the staff!! They made you fell like a local and trust me with out NY accents it dosnt happen often!! Lol. This is the place to go if you want hot dogs or grilled sausage. They even have sourkraut which is hard to find here in other hot dog places. They are a local lunch favorite by the crowed of people in there. They have been there since the 50's and everyone knows everyone!! Even on our way out they filled our cups to go with some more of that great south charm and treating us like a local. Well be back and Thank You guys from two southern felling New Yorkers

I canât imagine why this place isnât packed 24/7! Stopped by with my grandkids.. fast service, hot food! Plus the food was great! Got a burger, chicken sandwich & a hot dog. Plus the fries. Friendly staff. Good prices-Really good! Iâll be back!
