We were on a tour bus and had a tour on a bank holiday. The restaurant we were supposed to eat in was closed and this food truck was next to the restaurant. What a wonderful find! The staff was friendly, spoke English, and served wonderful food! The breading on the fish had a wonderful flavor and the fish was incredibly fresh. They had several sauces to put on the fish - I recommend the cucumber dill combination which is similar to tzatziki (Greek sauce you put on gyros...) There were counters to stand at, flat rocks to sit next to the water and enjoy the view, and a tiny set of putting greens to play on while waiting for your food to be ready. Definitely one of the best "on the road" meals we had in Iceland.

Our hamburgers were burned and the fries overcooked. Had to go and buy my kids a pizza afterwards. Can't recommendHello Anna,I´m sorry to tell you that our restaurant Stapinn don´t sell pizza and we have never been selling pizza. So you put your review on the wrong restaurant. But you are welcome to Stapinn whenever you would like to.Best regards,Helga

Being from New Zealand we have had our fair share of fish and chips. But this was truely delicious. Light crispy batter, lovely fresh fish and good mix of condiments. Also notable cheap as far as Iceland goes.
