This is a fairly new Popeyes in New Bern and we decided to give it a try for lunch recently. My husband ordered chicken strips with a biscuit and mashed potatoes. I ordered the chicken strip sandwich and onion rings. Everything was good, even though the chicken was a bit spicier than the other local chicken fast-food restaurant. The onion rings were very good.We had to ask for a a separate container for the onion rings. Even though we were clear about who ordered which item, they put the onion rings on my husbands strips. He is allergic to onions. I felt like they were trying to save one of the paper containers by not giving the onion rings their own "paper basket".There is plenty of parking, lots of seating, and the restaurant was clean.

One evening in New Bern, NC we decided on Chinese food. In entering the Peking Garden, the first surprise was that it was not a regular, sit-down, order from the menu type restaurant. This had been the impression from the photos for the restaurant. Instead, this is order-at-the-counter for either "take-away" or sitting at one of the 3 booths or the 5 tables in the restaurant. The menu had a nice variety and one of us ordered sesame chicken and the other Mongolian beef, along with egg rolls. The restaurant interior is nice enough and was well kept. We could also see that behind the counter was a rather large, neat kitchen. It was obvious that each dish is made-to-order. The second surprise was the our pleasant order taker also brought out our food to the table. The egg rolls were very crispy and tasty. The Mongolian beef was quite tender with a flavorful sauce. The sesame chicken had a nice exterior crunch without overcooking the interior. The order taker even stopped by to make sure that everything was good. It was. Sometimes you don't need a lot of atmosphere nor fancy plates when the food is this good.

We like Schlotzkys and have eaten at them for many years. Tonight, though, service was a little slower than usual but the sandwiches were good. Our son was disappointed to be told they were out of pizza dough. They were going to be getting a delivery tomorrow. He always gets the double pepperoni pizza. This time he had to choose a sandwich (which he also liked) but I think next time heâll go back to his pizza.

This was our 2nd visit. The first was horrible, but it was near closing time and I think we hacked them off by coming in. This time the subs were much better. Not as good as other Firehouse Subs we have been too but still better. We got there and 1 employee was outside, one was walking around playing with her phone, and the other was sitting down playing with his phone. The place was relatively clean, messy floor and soda area, but otherwise ok. I still think for 2 subs-chips-drinks, that $23 is a bit much. We can go to our local steak restaurant and eat for that....maybe a buck less.While it was nice that they brought our sandwiches out too us, I'd rather not have the person near my food who was taking orders, money, and other stuff, that close to my food until I saw him wash his hands.

I'm a total chickfila lover! The New Bern Chick-Fil-A is my least favorite chickfila! The chicken always seems to lack flavor and barely have breading. The service is always outstanding, which is why I gave it 2 stars. The New Bern ChickFilA is always very busy, so im not sure if that is why the chicken is not marinated enough or has enough breading. The chicken nuggets are always "bald" with a very very thin coat of breading. I feel the same about the chicken sandwiches. I also dont feel like the cuts of chicken are very good. New Bern location always seems to have fat or veins in the chicken sandwich. I went about 1 year from eating at our chickfila after I bit into a veiny breast. Hopefully, they will tighten the ship on the cooking, because customer service is awesome
