Very happy to report that the food was fab and not at all gloopy. I was also greeted by a very Neolithic young man.

We stayed just up the road from this shop and degiced to get a takeaway rather than cook on the first night. It was literally 1930 and there was no fish left and no suggestion of cooking more. We got the last of the chips and again no more being cooked. Customers after us would have had nothing to purchase so why not just cook more ???

We found this little gem by accident on our way back from Beaumaris. We were hungry and searched for somewhere for some food. Right by the junction and crossroads in Pentraeth, this small shop was just about visible at the junction and we pulled in for a bite to eat. Wow what a choice and the lady was very friendly we chose one hot pork and one hot turkey baps and we shared them between us! They were both lovely but we both thought the turkey with cranberry was the winner. We was only on the island for 4 days and on our way home we popped in again for a breakfast baguette, I had the sausage and bacon and my girlfriend had the sausage and mushrooms we both had a cuppa too. This Cafe is fabulous for the choice and quality of food and is centrally located on the main road, this one you have to try yummyThankyou so much for your review, glad you enjoyed our food! Lovely to meet you both and we hope you'll visit the island again. Janette and Maria

was recommended by friends to visit this fish and chip shop, went at lunch time it was busy but got seats inside, a large menu but being of an age went for the pensioners special, fish chips peas and a pot of tea, a splendid meal.dry crispy chips and batter to die for. it can get full but you can eat outside if the weather is ok. parking onsite as well.

This used to be such a fantastic takeout! But recently on three occasions our food has been sloppy, obviously reheated and extremely salty!!! Chips reheated and soggy, salt and chilli chicken like pieces of rock and almost black in colour! Had king prawns last week and the batter was black on the outside but raw on the middle with the prawns tasteless and pre cooked!! Quite an achievement!! And on each occasion the order was wrong!! Drinks from the fridge warm. All just gone to pot!! Such a shame as had one of the best Chinese meals Iâve ever had! Wont be returning in a hurry!!

We are a family who always love to give praise and credit where it is due but in this case we have nothing good to say. We chose this chip shop as a change for our fish supper. First we were met with a member of staff who hadn't even the decency to greet us. Then once she realised we were English, proceeded to speak to her friend in Welsh and continued to ignore us which is the height of ignorance! Now regarding the food. We agree with some of the other reviews on here regarding the horrible, yellow oil which oozed out of the fish and dripped off the chips. The taste of the fish and chips was as if they'd been cooked in old, rancid oil. This oil sat in the trays when we put the food onto a plate. Soggy and unpleasant to say the least. They went straight in the bin. We feel like we've spent an evening in food hell. Go elsewhere to avoid total disappointment.

Ordered a home delivery from this place last week and was very impressed with the quality of the food and the speedy service. The just eat app said that your order would be with you within 50m then 25m later it was at my door. Will be ordering from here again. Happy delivery team as well. Thanks

Beef and mushroom, comes with a centimetre thick blob of grease like liquid on top of the food which could literally be poured off into the sink. Chips, dipped and reheated so much leaving them swimming in grease and rock hard. Prawn toast, I say prawn toast however there was absolutely no prawn in it and tasted like puréed chicken again swimming in grease! The whole lot chucked in the bin leaving me feeling absolutely robbed of my money!! Absolutely revolting!!

Today I visited probably one of the best Chinese TakeAways on the Isle of Anglesey. :) For £7 I had a very generous and well cooked and well presented, 'Lemon Honey Chicken & Egg Fried Rice!' :) This firm favourite of mine from The Phoenix, never fails to disappoint, and even though the rest of the Menu looked very tempting, I seem to always stick with this particular dish, as introduced to me by an old friend! :) I would highly recommend this dish and the rest of The Phoenix Menu today! Enjoy! :)

Visiting Anglesey for a week. Wanted something quick and easy for evening food, decided on Llangefni kebab house, ordered 3 chicken and 1 doner (not at all greasy) all large bar 1 chicken kebab. Food was cooked fresh, got home opened up what we ordered and there was a mountain of lovely cooked tasty excellent value food. We struggled to eat it all. Highly recommended. We will be back.
