A great pub with a nice atmosphere. We visited for a family birthday meal and most had 3 courses. All the food tasted great, although the few steaks we ordered was not cooked how they was asked for (still tasted great though). The staff were very friendly and the prices fairI would visit again.

I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to write one for the Golden Wok. The quality of the food was superb - the best ribs ever, fabulous yuk sung and our main dishes weren't filled with the gelatinous gloop that so many Chinese takeaways are. Definitely recommended!

My daughter and myself whilst taking the dog for a walk, went to the chip shop with the intension of getting Fish and chip suppers for the 3 of us.The chip shop was like a youth club with young people hanging around inside. Not buying anything. The owners were not discouraging them,as they were chatting with them.My daughter felt intimidated by them so would not enter the premises or wait while I did.If the owners want a youth club get one not a chip shop. Its losing them trade.Thank you for your feedback. In response to your comment above, the young people you mention above a couple of them work in the chip shop and had finished there shift. They had purchased food, you were not probably in the shop long enough to see this. I'm sorry you and your family felt intimidated but the young people were not loud or causing any harm to anyone and if they were we would have asked them to leave. May be you shouldn't judge all young people as being trouble causes.
I'm quite against subway in general, £5 for a sandwich is a lot... But I do go on occasion. The staff have no idea about good customer service, never smile and have no personality... I don't know if they've got an overbearing manager and they've had the personality stripped out of them, or if it was just a bad day; but 5 mins to make a sandwich and repeating what I want 3 times is ridiculous...!
