Been four times over the last year. It has managed to get worse everytime. Just had a batter sausage freshly cooked and its burnt. The mushy peas smell like they were cooked days ago some the peas are yellow.

Take out cod, haddock and large chips . Fish was great, nice batter . Chips were dry and flavourless. Large chips would have fed 3 . Wait was about 20 mins. No warning, no apology. No queue and no one in the diner.. Think I'll go elsewhere next time. Noticed a sign saying gluten free available on Mondays.

Clean friendly environment serving good food at a reasonable price. Selection of cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, panini's, baked potatoes, home-made soup, burgers, cakes and coffees.

I'm a regular visitor to BB's and have enjoyed a number of variations from the menu including fried food (Breakfast Bap is a must for the start of a hectic day!) and a number of different sandwich/baguette fillings. The foods has always been to a high standard.

I popped in for a cappuccino and waited for 15 minutes in the queue whilst, the only two members of staff made small talk (or shall i say long talk) with practically every customer they served. Time is definitely not of the essence in that place especially with just two people on shift in the mornings. To make matters worse the empty tables were filthy and hadn't been cleared. When I asked the female staff to clear the table i wanted to sit at she stormed off in a huff and returned to wipe it clean once the red mist had settled. I was absolutely astounded as I'd never seen anything like it nor encountered such an angry member of staff . Firstly two people working during the most busiest period of the day doesn't cut the mustard. I've noticed that it's a common occurrence. Secondly the staff need to speed up especially when the place is understaffed. Fifteen minutes waiting in the queue to be served is ludricous at best. This place wouldn't last 5 minutes in many parts of the world where cafe owners take their craft seriously. Thirdly, Costa is not cheap so if i've chosen to spend my hard earned money there instead of the handful of cafes within a stone's throw then, i expect to enjoy my beverage at a clean table without attitude from the staff. What this place needs is serious competition.

Having waited over 75-80 minutes from when we ordered, we had a really poor take-away from Saffron. While the Prawn Puree and Onion Bhaji starters we ordered were decent, the main courses were terrible.The flavour was there in the sauce, but the sauces themselves were excessively greasy and the chicken was SO dense and rubbery. It was literally like eating pieces of rubber. It was practically inedible and we were incredibly disappointed. Would have done 1* but the Prawn Puree was really quite nice! Won't be ordering from here again.

Had a takeaway as was staying in the hotel next door. Food was really nice, couldn't fault anything I had and would order again if I was ever in the area again. One of the reasons I was happy to use this takeaway was that It scores 5 out of 5 for hygiene on scores on the doors official website so you can be assured of the food preparation and hopefully you won't end up with an upset stomach! Would recommend this place.

Friendly staff offer a good range of fish, chips and complementary products. You can drive right up to the door, and be served in a few minutes. The food is well cooked and served in generous portions. They often give a free packet of prawn crackers to go with your meal.

Bamboo Basket has a great vegan menu - I had the Tofish Stirfry which was amazing! The service is excellent - the guy who served me was knowledgeable about the food he was serving, and he cooked it to perfection! I'll definitely be back for more - thank you!
