McDonald's is the most efficient and fast serving food outlet in Ladysmith, The service is good and prices are very cheap, I ordered a cheese burger and a can of juice, it took five minutes to get my order.

We just departed from Barcelos in Ladysmith very annoyed. On arrival we asked the guy taking our order if the vegetarian meals are prepared with the non-veg items (chicken, eggs and bacon). He assured us that it is cooked on a separate grill altogether. We appreciated this, placed our order and effected payment. Whilst waiting for our meal we could see right into the kitchen and we were shocked to see the staff trying to hide behind one another and prepare our food on the grill where eggs where just prepared. When we queried it further the man at the till just grinned and said but its not. We proceeded to speak to the manager, who.... wait for it..... said there is no way possible that his staff member would lie to us about this. He also confirmed that there is no such thing as using a clean grill to prepare vegetarian meals and if we wanted the meal we would have to accept same having been cooked along with non-veg. With all due respect... what a complete fail! How about DON'T cater for vegetarians under false pretenses to begin with, and to top it of... don't lie to your customers!
