I was drawn to this shop while walking around the market this week. The lemon shortbread caught my eye, but on entering the shop the smells were divine. I choose the Spanish bacon omelette, with a salad for both myself and husband (he didn't get a choice as he was playing golf nearby), followed by the lemon shortbread. Lunch for 2 for under £8.00 - bargain and lovely food.
Been going here for years and thought i should write this review to highlight how portion size has decreased alot. The chicken was at one time "chunks", now has decreased into "slithers" at best which is propped up by an enormous amounts of shredded cabbage to bolster it out. Its a pity as the kebabs were good especially when you are served by the lady as the men are the worst for economising on portion size. So if you want a decent kebab go elsewhere as profit has obviously taken priority over decent portion size. So after years of being regulars be warned people will go elsewhere if you serve them salad in a pita.

The family were looking for take away / restaurant options so for the first time explored Pizzeria Italia. Very friendly customer service and we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely veggie pizzas made with generous toppings for large and extra large sizes. When we revisit Cumbria, we will keep this take away as an option. Recommended.

Ordered from here multiple times, amazing tasting desserts!! My favourites are the new marshmallow dipping box which is served with homemade marshmallows which are the tastiest little things I've ever eaten!!! They come with milk and white chocolate dipping sauce and a choice of extras such as sprinkles, chocolate chunks etc. Also the hot fudge brownie is outstanding and made to perfection. Milkshakes are not as thick as some but still very tasty and fresh. All their options are amazing and theres something for everyone. Friendly service with a smile, will continue to use and highly recommend!!

I personally LOVE any Indian takeaway/restaurant but I must say other Indians in Kendal have disappointed me in the past, this place however never has! Their dishes are so tasty and huge portions for not a lot of money! Staff are so helpful and friendly and I especially like the fact that at Christmas time they give out Christmas cards to all their customers, lovely little touch! Couldn't recommend this place enough :)

Travelling North and overnighting in Kendal. Discovered this little chip shop on the outskirts of Kendal. Attention drawn to it by the queue outside. Decided got to be okay if people queue like that, so tagged on the end. So very pleased we did. Fish and chips of top quality, however mushy peas - well average. Staff very busy, focussed and friendly. Clearly knew their roles and performed well. Really enjoyable fish and chips. Highly recommended.

I always like to give restaurants / take aways a chance before I give up on them. The silver mountain had a couple of false starts with me, but have now grown to be my favourite Chinese in Kendal. I had Szechuan special, salt and pepper special and chips. They were all very good. It isn't perfect by any means but it is now a solid performer, and I will go there before any other in town unless they are closed.
