Joliet (/ˈdʒoʊli.ɛt/ or /dʒoʊliˈɛt/) is a city in Will and Kendall counties in the U.S. state of Illinois, 30 miles (48 km) southwest of Chicago. It is the county seat of Will County and a major part of the southwest Chicago metropolitan area. At the 2010 census, the city was the fourth largest in Illinois, with a population of 147,433. A population estimate in 2016 put Joliet's population at 149,395, which would make it the 3rd largest city in Illinois if accurate.

Was surprised at the menu, I guess I expected more chicken choices.. Maybe chicken tenders, chickens nuggets, chicken sandwiches.. But the chicken was very good and the corn fritters canât be beat.. Kind of expensive carry out.. There are seafood and steak choices, as well as desserts..

The husband and I have talked about Rax a few times in our 16 year marriage. We both grew up in Central IL and there was a Rax Restaurant that we had both visited often growing up. I always remembered their kids meals were called Alligator meals and the kids drinks were served in a plastic alligator cup! This was the first place I tried and actually liked roast beef, too. Yesterday, we were in Joliet, IL, for a business trip and WOW...Rax was there! We looked at each other and pulled right in without even asking if the other wanted it for dinner. Ha! It was so nostalgic...the signs, the logo, even the music was from the 80s. It was unreal and absolutely AMAZING for us. We ordered the Rax, the Rax Mushroom, the salad bar, soup, twisty fries, and a turtle shake. The food was all wonderful. Every bit of it. Even the salad bar - AMAZING - has a taco and nacho bar on it, too! And jello cake. I had though my mother in law invented jello cake, but apparently Rax did. LOL There was a great worker there, too...didn't catch his name, but he could tell it had been awhile since we had ate at a Rax and was telling us how he was late for work because of the Cubs World Series parade traffic! If the management are reading this, give him a gold star, maybe a raise! :) Overall, loved our visit and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE grow the company again, come back to Bloomington, IL! :)

Located inside Water Tower Place, this is designed as a high end mall food court, with an interesting twist in that you get a card which is swiped at each place and then you pay on the way out. I liked the concept, and the wide selection of different classic Chicago food choices. However, we tried food from five different places and it was all very average. It would be a good choice for families with kids because it is fun and there is something for everyone, but it would have been better if the good was more memorable.

This little place specializes in gyros and does a good job at it. I was looking for something close to my hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The Gyros were fantastic, and the service was pretty good. The staff was nice and friendly. I would go back here again next time I am in town.

I can see why the Steakhouse Burger and wings are items recommended by the chef. They are both excellent! I have never seen a burger prepared quite the way the steakhouse burger is prepared. Interesting... and delicious! Also, several of the different wing varieties are wonderful and the garlic fries are yummy as well. Food prep is just a tad slower than I have expected but nothing outrageous. Service has been very friendly too.I would have rated Cross Street Deli 4 stars but they shouldn't brag about serving Starbucks if they are going to have somebody clueless making the drinks I ordered a mocha and requested only 2 pumps of syrup in it (and tipped $2 after making the request as well). The woman looked confused and didn't know how to make a mocha. She asked somebody if it was pretty much the same as a hot chocolate. He told her it was similar but had espresso in it and to only put 2 pumps of syrup in it. She immediately puts 6 pumps of syrup in the drink. It was awful! How can you hire somebody who does not know the difference between the numbers 2 and 6? Unreal.Thanks for the review. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your food, but sorry to hear you were disappointed with the service you received while ordering your Starbucks. We will be sure let the manager know about this and give our front line employees a refresher course. We do appreciate you letting us know.

We come from Lincoln Ne. and this is always our first stop even over White Castle which is one of my favorites. My husbands uncle owned the original Bozas hot dog stand in Lockport. The Boz hot dog are a copycat of this original place. Anyway JODY'S has it down to a science. The tamales and fries are also excellent. The owners daughter always remembers us and greets us with a big smile. It has a fifties feel and you leave full and feeling Like you just left Arnold's on Happy Days. Wish they were closer to US. ENJOY!!!!
