The place is nothing to write home about, but it was easy to get in and easy to get out of....it's located in a corner gas station (Exxon, I believe)
Spent the day with my Grandkids at their house in Hockley and then it became Lunch time, so we went out to eat. One of their Favorite Spots is Krispy Krunchy Chicken at Expressway. It's what they chose and I'm okay with that. We arrived around 1pm and not a lot of people here, but this place has everything inside. Kind of reminds me of where Homer Simpson goes. It's one of those Gas Stations that serves Food and all kinds of Goody Stuff inside ... and a Walk In Beer Cooler ... this place is nice. The Guy behind the counter knows my Grandkids and High Fives them ... cool.We went over to the Krispy Krunchy Chicken section and the kids looked things over. Tyler chose the Fish (two); comes with a Biscuit baked with Honey Butter on top. Jaiden wanted a Big piece of Chicken, also comes with a Biscuit baked with Honey Butter on top. I am having the same as Jaiden. Chicken looks pretty good. They also come with a dipping sauce. Krispys original sauce for the Chicken and Tartar sauce for the Fish. We chose our drinks (and the Medium here is HUGE) and took a table. The Kids loved their food. The Chicken is a light Cajun recipe with Real Krispiness to it (hence, the name) and pretty juicy inside ... taste pretty darn good for Gas Station food (Homer would be proud). The Honey Butter Biscuit was warm and Honey Butter Biscuitlicious and very Flaky. This was a pretty easy pleasing lunch for the kids. They really liked it and that's what counts.
I have tried this Sonic location 3 times and only ended up with food once. The first visit, I waited behind one truck at the drive-through for twenty minutes and then gave up and left. The next visit, I tried to order, but they were out of everything I named ( chicken strips, French fries, tator tots), so I left again. Third time, I was able to order. Staff was slow but friendly. Fries were cold and they were out of ranch for the jalapeño poppers.

Closest chic-fil-A for us living in Fairfield. Love their grilled chicken and fries with diet lemonade. My teenage son loves their nuggets, he orders 24 of them. Clean family oriented, Christ loving restaurant chain. Always busy so fresh food is what you get. Love it
