Just visited our new favorite burger place but didnât want to review it as itâs very small & didnât want it to be too crowded. Every review Iâve read about Steveâs is true. The burgers, hot dogs, fries, Steveâs own brand sodas are all excellent & very reasonably priced, much like a fast food place but only better quality food. 4 tables inside & 2 outside and very small parking lot.

I was famished, on my way to Passaic and saw this place, driving by. It was packed, so I figured the locals liked it. Stopped in and got myself a slice of the vegetarian. The crust was crunchy and good, was topped with plenty of good stuff: eggplant, broccoli, garlic...and wasn't too heavy on the sauce or cheese. Really hit the spot. I saw a little sandwich on the menu, knowing I'd need something later, so I ordered the Grilled Chicken Avocado sandwich. It was the same basic price as the slice and boy was it good! The only thing I didn't like about it was that the bread was toasted - I'd rather be told that on the menu, as I would have requested it not be...but it was drippy, yummy and just the right amount - not some crazy, oversized gluttonous hoagie. While others wine and dine their business relationships on steak and sushi, I bring them to Rutt's Hut. I tell them where we are going and what to expect and most people are excited to go to a local legend. The best part is that when I see them again, Rutt's Hut is almost always brought up. A steakhouse or other fancy restaurant is commonplace in the business world. Nothing is common about Rutt's Hut; quite possibly the best hot dogs on the planet!

This place opened in 1946 and outside of keeping it clean, I don't think anything has changed since 1946. The size, the taste, the stools, and the counters are appear to be vintage. If they are not, the restorer was talented.I also don't think pricing followed inflation because it is affordable! $10 get you 2 burgers, fries and cheese and drink.The people who work here are amazing. I have no idea how the grillmasterlady keeps track of who orders what but she does!A fun and inexpensive meal.
