Being from the UK, we know fish and chips - these were delicious! Cooked fresh to order they were piping hot. Had a great chat with the owner whilst he fried our order. Great food by great people! Would recommend if in Gansbaai!

What it lacks in location and ambience is certainly compensated for by freshness and quality. I have rarely tasted fresher fish - it melts in the mouth.Vismark is a âchippyâ with a few outside tables located in Gansbaai harbour. It ainât pretty but the fish, calamares are delicious. Inside the shop sells all manner of mostly frozen seafood, shark bites and even rare oriental ingredients and the most wonderful home made ginger beer. Plastic cutlery, polyestyrene boxes and no alcohol!

Absolutely terrible.....went in while I was waiting for someone so it was just merely to pass time and grab a quick breakfast.Walked in past 3 waitron casually leaning on the counters and had to ask for a menu and grab a seat.Not one acknowledgement from any staff in a restaurant that only had 5 tables in.Decided to make my own breakfast. The waitron couldn't understand that all I wanted was toast, bacon and a cheese griller. I had to repeat the order to another staff member. Just before my last bite I was asked if all was ok and as soon as I was done eating I was asked if I'd like anything else or if they can bring me the bill....FFS I haven't thought about it yet but since you're in a rush i guess ill pay. Never felt more unwelcome in a restaurant ever....This Wimpy is by far the worst and will never see me again.Some tips for the restaurant.....get a manager....someone that actually manages.Source proper staff or train, train trainOrPlease simply close down*I'd give it zero stars if that was an optionNever again....
