While Ferguson is obviously getting a very bad name for itself right now, I can't help but lobby for this quaint downtown. Not even the worst news stories could keep me away from trying this cute little ice cream place. The Whistle Stop is an ice cream shop in a remodeled train depot and I loved every bit of it! Down below is a nice walking trail with a beautiful waterfall. The wait staff was friendly, even when we showed up 15 minutes before closing! I loved the flavor of the custard and plan to return again. You really get what you pay for and I thought it was much better than the favored Ted Drewes downtown.

I eat at Mimi's 3-4 times a week for lunch and dinner. The pizza's are awesome. The hamburgers are nice a juicy... The daily specials are delicious. I could go on and on.. I think I've tried almost everything on the menu. I have also turned on my co-workers and many friends to the delicious food.

3. White Castle

Anytime I'm near Saint Louis and it's surrounding area my family must have some White Castle's Burgers. This location stood out because the cashier asked for my name for the order and then to my surprise told everyone to tell me hello. It was refreshing and even though it's located in the city that added touch gave it a small town feel. Not to mention we got our order quickly and it was hot and tasted delicious.
