Where we have motorway services with a few shops, But-Ees goes that much further. Virtually a large Supermarket, selling motoring goods, souvenirs, clothes, sweets, takeaway foods of every description, beers and wine.
The gyro's at this place are simple but very good. We got two gyro's and one fry and it came out to over $31. Uhhh I could go to a fancy sit down restaurant with a white tablecloth and end up about $15 a plate, so the place isn't a great value but the food is very good. The 9" Gregory Gyro was delicious, but ordered standard, was $13.99 or a buck more expensive than advertised on the menu.... The standard 6" gyro was 9.20 and the greek fries 5.99. The fries were underwhelming, standard fries with some feta on top and some oregano I believe. We'd love for this place to be successful. Its a bit expensive and unique to draw the traffic, but their gyro's are delicious. In comparison Murphy's deli charges 1/2 the price for a gyro. Pricing is comparable to Becks Prime. The gyro at Skipper's (Greek restaurant nearby in Clear Lake Shores) is as good (8.50 with fries included). I'd recommend Skipper's for a gyro fix if you can brave the crowd and noise.
This is a great place for a wide variety of healthy foods, including their subway sandwiches. This past Sunday after church, my wife and I decided to try subway. She wanted the Veggie Subway on whole wheat; while I wanted to try the ham subway sandwich. Both were delicious!
