Things to do in Dambulla
Lakis' Lounge aims to serve Sri Lankan and asian food and beverage with touch of fusion added, palatable for the western forks.( mildly spicy, mildly chilli hot, rich and creamy ) All our items are less than â¬2. Lakis Lounge also full of drownings.
Fabulous roadside restaurant with some of the best food we've had in Sri Lanka, try juggery beef with roti or chicken curry for some amazing flavours. They deserve a lot of success for trying something new and a bit more adventurous than rice and curry although that is on the menu. So cheap too, fed 4 people for less than £12. Worth finding after visiting dambulla caves. Run by a lovely family with some great artwork upstairs. Don't miss it! Thank you very much Jessica. We appreciate your comments. It will greatly help us.
food is nothing special but acceptable compared to the other spots in Dambulla. We ordered a rice and a noodle dish for 400 Rupies. The restaurant doesn't look very fresh but this kind of places are rare in Sri Lanka.
Best food restaurant in Dambulla This is family restaurant, Foods really good, better than some restaurants on the main road. A lovely place with reasonable prices, We offer the rice and curry buffet and it was so tasty! Our Service is very friendly, many
It was our last day in Sri Lanka and we did not want the typical tourist place. We found this place on the map and called to see if it was open. The owner, a sweet and kind woman, prepared everything for us (we were two) as quickly as possible, especially for us, on the wood stove. Lots of fresh vegetable dishes and all delicious. The environment was also an experience. The place is simple and quiet, surrounded by trees, in the backyard of your house. Very recommended.

we have available dine in and take out, running full bar,all kind of foreign and local liquor, most beer&wine newly renovated PUB with VIP area (Air Conditioned) we are running decent food menu chinese, srilankan some of westren and italian
We called here just for a beer after a hot climb to the cave temples. Donât get me wrong, I love pubs, but this place is totally uninviting with a shuttered, spit and sawdust downstairs bar, populated by men only, drinking and smoking. The barman suggested we go upstairs to the restaurant even if we only wanted to drink. We sat for 10 minutes and nobody came to serve us (the only staff member was a younglad cleaning the floor and tables) so we went back downstairs and bought some cans to take back to our hotel. The restaurant does appear to have a decent menu of local dishes and a few western standards all at decent prices but the ambience is very downbeat. The place has no natural light and feels like somewhere that the authorities would like to keep hidden for some reason.
We had lunch here on our way to Dambulla caves and it was good. We had the egg kottu and the vegetables chopi and both were good and so were the carrot and lime juices. Nothing fancy but good food and one of the best we saw in Dambulla.
Kind suggestion, if you can't provide the full Buffett that you charge for, please let us know before we start. It's unfair for me, considering passing breakfast joints from Negombo to Dambulla only to stop at u a place and halfway through realizing that some food items missing is unacceptable.Next time inform us that a limited no of items are available, then we have a choice to have or not to.I have no issues with Food quality and taste, this is my place for breakfast every time I go to Polonnaruwa, please don't disappoint me again.
The Delum Uyana Restaurant is located in the heart of Dambulla right next to the Golden temple. We are open from 8.30am to 8.30pm, serving relaxed cafe style food.If you are searching for restaurants in Dambulla city, escape the crowds and slip down Temple

The best restaurant in the Sigiriya-Dumbella area in my opinion! The first time I had their rice and curry for lunch,l and it was amazing. In fact I liked so much I went back for dinner and got the sweet and sour fish (caught the very morning in the nearby river), and once again I was not disappointed. The family operating the place is lovely and they know what they are doing in the kitchen ! A great choice also for big groups like we were, as the main focus is Sri Lanka dishes but he also offers other styles of food which were pretty tasty as well my friends told me.
