Wanted a quick tea on day of arrival so popped into restaurant. Fish and chips ok, my son wanted fishcakes which came with beans or peas, he wanted chips so £9.00 for 2 fishcakes and £3.20 for chips. Outrageous prices and staff plain rude and a bit thick to be honest. Might visit the takeaway but never ever the restaurant again.Hahah, you are the one that canât read the menu. It clearly states the price and what is included in the meal. Please donât come back to us or even the Island, stick with MacDonalds at the motorway services. And keep your misery to yourself rather than spreading it around.
Staying on nearby campsite and having found nearest chippy on sat nav went to get chips to accompany food being prepared in caravan.Asking for 2 large portions of chips, the person serving questioned if I really needed 2 large portions as they were enough for 4 servings. So I returned with only one large portion of beautifully cooked chips. Only problem was, there was too many for 3 of us.Lovely little chippy, pity it's out of the way to achieve more passing trade.

I thought I'd try here as I read the reviews from others and were mostly all good. Having tried the haddock and chips I wasn't disappointed. The fish is all freshly cooked. I do recommend trying the haddock it tastes amazing. I will defentley be going back there before my holiday finishes. Great place for fish and chips in ryde.
