Silky's has far and away the best frozen custard. It's better than Ted Drewes' and Fritz's by a long shot and has the added bonus of being open year round (shorter hours during fall and winter but still open!)! The staff is efficient and friendly whether you go through the drive-thru or walk up to the window.

2. Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers

I have visited this particular Cane's several times. The service is always very good. In fact the last time I was there, I got there when they opened and their ovens were running behind and it was going to take longer for me to get my food, the manager on duty went above and beyond to make me happy, without me even asking. I always tell friends that have not had Cane's to try it. I always get the 3 finger deal that comes with fries, garlic bread (which is outstanding) and a drink for like $8!

Tons of options for a near Maui shave ice experience. The ice is finer that the average snowcone but problem 1 is that they call it shaveD ice (not what Hawaiians call it). Problem 2 is that their syrups are basically flavored colored sugar water rather than an authentic fruit syrup. It is a fun place though with a great indoor space with board games, cards, and even some mega blocks for the toddlers. They are served in an UNenvironnentally friendly Styrofoam cup :-( but come with fun umbrellas and color changing spoons. They also have a few free sprinkle toppings that can be added. Wish they carved the ice with chopsticks like they did in Maui which would give it a better dome appearance when served but I think I am just bitter that this isnt an exact replica of Ulani's Shave Ice... Good place though with friendly employees. FYI there is also a drive through.

I am the Hospitality Coordinator for our Middle School and this is my 2nd year using Chick-Fil-A for the Teacher Conference Meals. The teachers love the variety and the heated bags keep the Chicken Sandwiches, Spicy Chicken Sandwiches and Chicken Fingers HOT till needed. They sent all the cold items in separate bags to keep cool. The Catering Choices are Great and the Teachers feel like they REALLY GET TO CHOOSE! Almost as good as being there. They also gave us a nice discount for being a school. SUPER NICE--IT WAS MY PLEASURE to use Chick-Fil-A and will put them down for next year, TOO!

We had Firehouse out of town long before they ever came to St. Charles. And it really is a nice change of pace from Subway or Panera. My kids prefer them.However, they use GrubHub for delivery and that is just a mess. We tried it twice, the second time being worse than the first. It is SO much easier to just place the order on the Firehouse app and then drive over to get the food. Then, no errors or issues. Which tells me that the issue is GrubHub (I'm not really surprised).One thing about the app - even though it only shows a tuna salad sandwich as a "cold sandwich" you can tell them in the comments of any sandwich that you want it cold and they will not toast your sandwich.Valued guest, we're disappointed to hear your delivery experiences weren't top-notch!
