We placed rather a large order (11 people) online with Buxton Food Spot and were given a waiting time of approximately 1 hour which, given the size of the order, could have been taken with a pinch of salt (pun not intended). The order was for delivery.2 hours and 10 minutes later we decided to call Buxton Food Spot to make sure they had our order and if it was due any time soon. They advised that the driver wasn't there so they must be on their way with our order. Excellent. Given that we were only 0.6 miles apart, we were eagerly anticipating our food within the next 5-10 minutes. 40 minutes later we decided to phone again to enquire about our order. We couldn't get a straight answer out of them. By this time it was far too late to go elsewhere so I decided to drive down and pay them a visit. It turns out that our food was being prepared some 3 hours after ordering, just as I walked in. We were told the driver was knocked over and therefore I imagine so was our food. No phone call to advise us and no evidence of fallen food all over the road. Not many different routes to go in 0.6 miles but I can't confirm whether this did happen or not.To top it all off they missed out one of the items on the order, offered no discount for their below average service and couldn't be bothered to label the 6 different curries we had. The one and only time that we'll use Buxton Food Spot. The onion Bhajis were nice.

Ordered pizza from Oliverâs whilst staying at Longnor Wood Holiday Park. Pizzas were lovely and lots of it - similar to a pizza pie than deep pan, we couldnât finish it all and had it for lunch the next day! Also ordered fries, onion rings, and garlic sauce which was all also really nice. Free garlic bread was a great added bonus!Service really nice, rang before they were leaving and arranged to collect from the driver at reception.

Found this wonderful place today on a quick trip to Buxton. Lovely and clean when you go in, and a good, clear menu of whatâs available. We all had the Oreo milkshake that was awesome, but I also had the cheesecake of the day, which today was Caramac. I have never had a nice cheesecake, it was delicious. Found out it was made by the lovely lady behind the counter. Would reccomend this place to anyone going near the area, just fantastic.

A traditional, wholly genuine, owner ran Fish and Chip shop serving quality ingrediants freshly prepared each day. We only use Cod that is ocean wild, fresh packed at sea and caught in sustainable fishing grounds. Our chips are prepared from scratch daily
Wanted an inexpensive filling dinner, the problem with being on a travelling holiday is every cafe \ restaurant has a desire to serve up grub with Micheline star prices, so £12 for two eat in fits the bill - basic cafe but friendly peeps & in better condition than The Palace'.Plenty of free on street parking and couple minutes walk to finish of the meal at Witherspoon and a cheap refreshing pint.

Walked in with a large order after struggling to find somewhere to eat (Mother's day weekend). Really fast and friendly service, great portions and great quality. We're only in the area for a long weekend otherwise we'd be back. Highly recommended.

We ordered from Tikka Villa for New Year and whilst there was nothing bad about any of the dishes there was nothing particularly impressive either - fairly similar flavours across different dishes.
