We were in Belize City on December 1, 2014 as one of the ports on our cruise on Oceania Regatta. We had to anchor and tender in from the ship due to the reef. Local tenders were used (150 passenger). It was just under 15 minutes to tender in from the ship. The tenders docked in the port area which has a number of shops including 3 Diamond International stores. A number of shops were closed. According to some locals, Regatta is a small ship (684) so some people did not bother to open. On our way out of the port area we seen a sign at The Thirsty Pirate that indicated they had 2 beers for $5.00. The Thirsty Pirate is built out over the water. We wandered around the city for a few hours and made our way back to The Thirsty Pirate. We were able to get a table right at the water's edge. It was a great view. The bartender informed us of the three local beers they carried, Belikin Regular, Belikin Stout and Lighthouse Lager. All the beers were sampled and found to be very good. The beer was served ice cold. The bartender was friendly and offered to take photos for us.There was some great photo opportunities while we sat there. The bar was not very busy which made it easy to talk.We spent a few hours relaxing and enjoying the warm weather and cold beer. There are washrooms directly across from The Thirsty Pirate, between the Chocolate Shop and one of the Diamond International Jewelry stores. There are also washrooms in the little mall through the glass doors to the left of Diamond International. They are located on the right about halfway down. There are a number of tour operators in the mall trying to sell their tours. If you walk straight past the tour operators through the glass doors leading to the parking lot, you will see a yellowish colored building with an EXIT sign on it. Go through the door and there is a security office. Walk out the other door and you are able to explore Belize City. On the way back you have to enter the security building and produce your room card.We were very happy with The Thirsty Pirate and will go back if we are in Belize City again.

You've had the rest, now its time to try the BEST! OUR PIZZA AND WINGS SPEAKS FOR THEMSELVES.
Definitely the best in Belize City. Friendly and accommodating staff (manager even went to buy me a beer while I waited for my pizza!). Their hot wings, twisted breads, pizzas are really amazing! Everytime i'm in the city Pizza Express is my go to place! Try it out!
I got here by accident, lost because of poor planning. The moment I got in I was starving and I swear it was a very happy fluke. The food was great! I had rice/beans with chicken stew with pineapple water and a coffee at the end. The prices are really good and the people working there are some fine ladies. What can I say? I even bought some food to carry back to the hotel... fried chicken w/fries... also great! I will go there tomorrow and have something else, for sure. Only comment that can come handy is... whatever you buy, ask them to add more protein for an extra charge, if it is chicken, tell them to add an additional piece or two and pay more... Bon appetit.
A restaurant & bar located next to the No Hoch Cheen Archaeological Park where cave tubing & zip lining activities are conducted. We provide Belizean cuisine & fast food, such as Belizean rice & beans with stewed chicken, burgers & fries, chicken wings, c
We ate here after cave tubing with Onbelizeable Tours (Facebook). It is a nice spot away from the noise and activity of larger groups coming and going from tubing. Our server was very friendly! Our guide, Joey Moh checked on us as well to make sure our experience was the best! We had a typical Belizean Sunday dinner along with juice. The food was wonderful! Good music! You will find this restaurant at the edge of the parking lot. Try it!

Beautiful outdoor dining area by the sea. Kid friendly. Playground and free WiFi available. Wide selection of food including pizzas, pastas, burgers, seafood, salads and desserts!
The food here is incredible. Near the Princess hotel. Very busy at lunch on the Saturday we were there but had a chance to see a lot of different menu items come out. There were a lot of families and a fenced kids playground outside. The menu has a ton of options. We had Chicken Parmesan & spaghetti bolognese. Both incredible and easily shareable. Could easily feed two-3 people per order. The jalapeño bacon cheese sticks were really good. The grilled chicken dinner with veggies and mashed potatoes I saw come to another table also looked great. Open everyday. Serves breakfast and homemade deserts also. Menu had pizzas with any type of crust. Many pastas, grilled meat dinners, fish, shrimp, chicken, steaks & salads. Very reasonable for portion sizes. All employees were friendly with great service. Especially with how crowded it was. Food came out quickly and was fresh. Will definitely return.
