Friday nights are fish n chip night. Donât try and change the meal plan - the family will revolt. This is my favourite fish n chip shop. The fish is fresh and the batter is light. The chips are crunchy and potatoes cakes are divine.

It was surprisingly quiet given the large crowd inside. The waitresses were bustling about and our order was taken in stages by different people, but it all worked out. We chose coffee plus a muffin and a slice. The muffin was heated and the caramel inside was runny. The slice was full of all kinds of goodies and was very dense. We had to ask for water, although all the other tables got it as a matter of course. My coffee was too bitter for my taste. Toilets were available and worthwhile.

My teenagers enjoy a frequent takeaway from Seaview. The fish is consistently good and fresh. Very large portions. Usually busy but efficient. The staff tend to be young who are fine. The older couple, owners I guess, are very friendly and engaging. The chips are ok, nothing special. My kids tend to grab a box of chips from the Chicken place next door !Very popular with locals and well regarded.
