The population of the town was 8,279 according to the 2011 Croatian census, including 1,473 in the titular settlement. Ninety percent of the population declared themselves Croats by ethnicity. The largest ethnic minority are the Serbs with 2.91% of the population. The old part of Bakar is situated on a hill overlooking the Bay of Bakar. "Bakar" is the Croatian word for copper.

I should have read pickleickles review before going to Portic. The Cevapcici and Calamari which we had the first time was nice, but the second time we felt cheated. Fish was overpriced and our side dishes also disappointing. Stick to food with fixed prices to avoid disappointment.

I had the aussie burger and must say that it is the best. Fantastic flavor with the cooked pineapple, which adds a wonderful sweetness, the beetroot, egg and bacon adds another layer of flavour, topped off with a high quality beef pattie makes this a complete meal. It's the best.

cool place, amazing avocado chicken salad (better to take big, small is verrrrrry small), good burgers but bit small for this price. I really enjoyed fries with cheese! 100% will come again. I must admit that I was a bit suspicious about a restaurant located in a warehouse of the huge shopping mall... it didnât look promising. But I was reassured the minute we stepped in it! It is a huge space, connected with a bowling alley and many other amusement features, but it is also a comfortable dining room with excellent food and service. As we live in the neighborhood, my wife and I went there several times in the last two months and we were very pleased every time. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is fast and efficient, and the prices are very fair. Highly recommended, even if you are not a fan of bowling...

Wok'a Billy is always great when I have no idea what to eat or what to prepare for lunch! I love their Oldie Goldie which has chicken and all sorts of vegetables (cabbage, carrot, zucchini, corn...) and you can combine it with pasta or rice and the sauce of your choice (personally: I always take the peanut and sesame). Yum!
