Dr. Lek offers a large amount of flavors, fresh ice cream and a place to sit outside near the sea. Try the Belgian Waffle or just an ice cream cone with a few flavors. Try the Halva flavored ice cream or the fruit sorbets.

Local people recommend is Abu Elias for a good humus and they were right. All the dishes we tried (four as far as I remember) were excellent, very smooth and with the right level of acidity.

My partner and I found this place while out walking the old city centre on a Saturday morning. We thought the place looked attractive and came back on Saturday night for dinner. The atmosphere was hopping inside, I liked the beats and all the staff were all in good mood, I heard a good mix of Hebrew and Arabic among the staff and of course the English from the lively American chef who was very vocal all night! It was very busy there so we sat at the bar. Very comfortable and clean, good decor and ambiance. Food did not disappoint. Burger was the best I've had in Israel and the ice cold beers and smiles and service from the staff topped it off. Glad we took a chance on this place and I'll be recommending it to my colleagues.

We stopped here for a bite during the Acre Theater Festival. The two of us shared a hummus with minced meat and ful, a small green salad, some falafel and a hard boiled egg. Complimentary pickles and olives were served, as well a small coffee later on. The staff were very forthcoming and cheerful . You should be aware they only accept cash (no credit cards).

When deciding between restaurants, I choose the one with the most locals. Falafel Arafe was the place! I was lucky to snag one of the chairs along the wall with the tiny tables, Order your falafel "hakol" ("with everything") and you won't be disappointed! Also, you pay when you are done eating, not when you get your food. It's nice to be trusted not to dine and dash!
