Nice renovated barn that seems been converted a while ago into a very charming restaurant. It was nicely decorated and with amazing lights that you can even buy on the way out. We went friends and kids to the restaurant to try the most typical dish of Switzerland of which is the Cheese Fondue. What a great surprise. Great quality, good service of which was accompanied by a local with wine called Johannisberg. If you are seeking for a typical Walis place this is one of its best as it is mostly visited by locals so you avoid and of the typical tourists menu printed menus...

Fairly new to Zinal, new French owners of Le Pointe brought here the best tradition of making pizza. We were pleasanty surprised to test here a real masterpiece of a pizza which is one can rarely meet even in Rome. Quite thin, full of ingredients, juicy and well baked, those pizzas also available for take away. They have also special offer for PizzApero - a good bargain of pizza and drinks.Try vegeterian one! You'll never forget it :)

Located in the middle of nowhere at the end of the road of Zinal, this mountain restaurant is unforgettable.Next to a small pond with trouts and ducks, it offers various playgrounds for the kids while the parents enjoy the view on the back of the Eiger and the local food dishes. Friendly and quick service, we could recommend everything on the menu card. I was just disappointed by the blueberry tart which was deep-frozen, tough it tasted very good ..... A pity ......Don't miss it !

Close to a telepheric from Zinal, to the left, you will find a ski-restaurant, more a cantine where you will revitalize yourself after skiing on a freeze. Boillions, soups, french fries, sausages and pastas - they are definitely not a culinary masterpieces, but very tasty - so what do you expect from a ski cantine. At the lower level you will find a bouffet which is worth visiting: eat-what-you-want for CHF 15 (if you are under 16) and for CHF 29 if you are older :)

Ok, this is not the fanciest place in town... but the service and the cooking is honest and excellent when you compare price and quality. The owner wil cook you sweet or salty pancakes or suggest some delicious dishes, depending on the season, what he found on the market and what was shot by the local hunters... Do not walk away if you see no one... he's actually cooking all day and you might just arrive between two shifts. P.S.: probably the best coffee in the village

Quite cosy, sometimes crowded but very nice place with a quick service. A combination of classic "swiss" chalet interrior and traditional local kitchen.A stewed cow cheeks appeared to be extremely delitious. I personally recommend to try their roesti - a large portion of gratine rosted potato with some ham and malted cheese above all.Wash it down with a local Fendant.

No experience with the hotel nore the restaurant. But nice service at the terrace. They have their own beers and they're proud if it. And so they should. Nice place

This is a good value place for skiers or hikers. The bedrooms are basic as was the shared bathroom - ok for a night or so. The restaurant is a different story - good food - I had the goat cheese salad followed by duck. They even served Belgian beer which made a change to bland Swiss lager (come on you Swiss - make some interesting beers!).

Raclette, fondue and BBQ are the specialities that await you at Ferdinand. That's right. The menu is traditional. However, if you're thinking of a stuffy old fondue restaurant, you're way off. Ferdinand offers a taste of the cosmopolitan life in Zermatt.
