Went for dinner on a Tuesday evening having spotted the restaurant as we drove by. Very nice bistro feel to the restaurant. Pleasant staff and great food. We had mains of Gnocchi and wild mushroom risotto both were lovely. Nice drinks too. Will definitely go back.

How refreshing to be able to write a glowing review of a family run business.Arrived at 7pm, four hungry diners, warmly greeted by mum and Sophie(daughter) I felt relaxed immediately. All 4 starters were beautiful, I had smoked mackerel that was perfectly smoked, not too strong and honestly would have been suitable as a main course with regard to the portion size.Main was a very tasty red mullet (wow) and Thai style dish that was perfectly cooked and such a large portion that I failed to finish it. We shared 2 desserts as we fancied something but didnât really have room to put it, âweâve all been there havenât weâ, I so wish I had had a full one to myself as the chocolate orange bread and butter was absolutely fantastic.Sole,Duck, and chicken were the other mains we had and all were fabulous. We were not rushed, in fact we didnât leave until 10.30 ish, a perfect evening.Thank you red duster , especially Sophie who is as beautiful as she is capable.Hats off to the chef (dad)Will be going again before the end of the holiday.

We chose this restaurant for evening meal after browsing the internet for something different. We had a selections of Tapas and main course with beer and wine. Everything we had was well cooked and delicious. Excellent value as well. We will be coming back on our next trip across the Solent. Defiantly worth a visit if you like Spanish food and haven't tried it before.

The Little Gloster is a award winning family restaurant with rooms located on the seas edge. Serving predominately local produce in a simplistic scandinavian relaxed atmosphere. It is listed in the michelin guide and the good food guide as being one of th
This is a lovely restaurant with spectacular sea views and a great vibe. Beautifully cooked fish with an inventive menu at the price you would expect (£200 for three courses at dinner with two glasses of wine each and service). The only downside was that they really did not understand about gluten sensitivity so this may not be a good choice if you have food intolerances.

Visited Prego on our way to ferry and they managed to fit us in despite it being a busy evening. All four of us enjoyed our food and my Stromboli was a particular highlight. Friendly service and good value, but book ahead!

Guilty as charged with loving the food and service at Mojac's, the duck, chicken, veggie dishes, and beef pastry were all terrific and don't miss the "nibbles" or the ice cream for dessert. Luckily we had to walk to and from the restaurant to where we were staying on the Isle or we couldn't/wouldn't have eaten so much - but it was just so good. The owner and staff are very attentive and we always were able to reserve and sit at the table in the window so could not have enjoyed our evenings out more. Was a high point of our stay.

Thompson's is a contemporary 'open kitchen' restaurant offering a delicious modern British menu inspired by the flavours of the Island and Chef Robert Thompson's experiences. This original dining concept features kitchen view tables downstairs with a more
We booked Thompson's based on an internet search and reading TripAdvisor reviews, as we live in the north of England. We'd had a lovely day with beautiful summery weather and a trip to Osborne, and our visit to Thompson's rounded off our visit beautifully. We had the tasting menu, which was superb in every respect. All staff were friendly, relaxed and very knowledgeable. The food was beautifully presented and prepared, and also gave us an opportunity to try things we wouldn't attempt at home, such as cuttlefish 'tagliatelle'. I mentioned to the waitress that I wasn't a big fan of parmesan, but it wasn't a particular issue, and voila, the kitchen staff made sure my meal was tailored to my tastes, even preparing some gnocchi to replace an element of one dish. Oh, and the we have to mention the quirky cutlery, the good quality Riedel glasses ( yes, we use them at home ), and the complimentary amuse buche and pre-ssert.

Alacarte restaurant in Newport offering a selection of local fish and seafood and great steaks. An upmarket restaurant with an emphasis on customer service and attention to detail with crisp linen table cloths and napkins.
We followed a recommendation and a group of 7 of us had a great night out at Burrâs after walking a section of the coastal path from Freshwater Bay to Totland Bay. The food is a classic European style with a lot of fresh fish featured on the specials board the night we were there, although we generally ate from the set menu option. The crab and spinach brûlée starter is a signature dish I understand and was enjoyed by the 3 of us who had it.Our waiter guided us excellently through the menu and suggested wines we all enjoyed. An excellent choice of restaurant for our group. I shall come again. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review of the restaurant. I'm glad you enjoyed your evening
