Ducked in here with the other half. A nicely presented and cozy Italian restaurant. We grabbed a focaccia starter and a penne positano main each. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality. My other half enjoyed the Italian wine, they also had draught beer available. Two very pleasant waitresses greeted/served us. Wanted to go back during our stay in the Lakes but sadly did not have time. Would eat at this place every day if I were local.

The Green Room restaurant, part of the reimagined Rosehill Theatre, Moresby, Whitehaven, enjoying spectacular views of the Solway coast. Trendy, vibrant and family friendly!
We came to visit for lunch in between Xmas and New Year, mainly chosen because of the photos of the view! The venue (above a theatre) is a little unusual - very bright and modern, with cafe-like furniture. However, the cafe resemblance ends there - the menu offered some amazing sounding options, about 5/6 starters, and about 5/6 main courses. For the main course options, I would have been happy with any of them, all sounded delicious. In the end, we all chose different options, and all were absolutely gorgeous, and despite some of the reviews on here, the portion sizes were generous.Pre-lunch drinks were good, and the wine list was fine - nothing too exciting, but all good options. This is a really great place, a shame it is a bit far away (I would love the chef to open something in Cockermouth... hint hint!) - but well worth the visit!

I pop in occasionally for a flat white as they make good coffees.Lovely location overlooking marina, tables outside as well. Great deco makes it a very cosy spot.I had a brekkie once but, unfortunately, they only had white bread. As it was a while ago, I hope that now they offer a bigger choice. It is not just a cafe as they offer evening dining as well.Little gem in Whitehaven.Thank you so much for your review, glad you enjoy our coffee, we get our coffee beans from local roasters Carvetii who are based near Keswick.I will pass on your point about different bread to the kitchen.Hope to see you again soon.
