Very busy, not very big on the inside with an average size patio. Had the apple and cinnamon crepe it was served was a good amount of tart crisp apples. Not my go to in Whistler but it was good. Thanks for your comment. We apologize if you had to wait to be seated (as we were busy that day); but we are glad you enjoyed your meal!

Every trip to Whistler with my wife for the last 20 or more years starts with dinner at Caramba. They excel at calamari and prawns for appetizers, pasta for dinner and they have a great cheesecake too. Caramba also makes a good pizza and some of their specials are excellent. Good service but can be very busy so make reservations.Dear Peter K,From the whole Caramba team, please accept our sincere thanks for your continued patronage over the last 20 years. We truly appreciate your every visit and of course you taking the time to write a 5-star review to let others know about us. We all look forward to seeing you again in the future!Cheers,Casper Richters, GM

We took advantage of the $35 three course offer and it was excellent. Salad, pasta, then a main. The pasta was perfectly cooked, our chicken and salmon mains were really tasty. Great restaurant with a fine dining atmosphere. Recommended.

A crackling log fire, warm hospitality and hearty alpine cuisine set the stage for a unique dining experience in Whistler resort at The Chalet at Fairmont Chateau Whistler hotel. Hosted in the summertime home of the Chateau Whistler Golf Clubhouse, The Ch
We chose to dine here after seeing an advertisement in our hotel's magazine for fondue. Being our fifth time in Whistler, we wanted to try a new experience. We assumed an experience at the Fairmont would be worth the $$$. Well, it didn't exactly turn out this way and in summary, was probably the worst dining experience we've had in Whistler. We arrived at the Fairmont to find out we had to take a shuttle ride up to the actual restaurant. This in itself was not a big deal, we waited less than 5 minutes and the ride was short. Driver was extremely cordial and helpful. We knew we wanted fondue off the bat so really didn't consider anything else on the menu. Chose the fondue experience for all three of us (2 adults, 1 4yo) which included an appetizer salad, cheese fondue, meat fondue, and dessert fondue. The warm potato and salmon salad was delicious and quite unique - great starter. The cheese fondue only came with bread, and it was just plain white bread, nothing fancy. While the cheese was delicious, it was boring just dipping it in bread and felt like it deserved more. We asked for some vegetables and had to pay an additional fee for a plate of more accompaniments (which included potatoes, apples, and broccolini). Honestly, with these prices it should be included in the rate to include a variety of pairing items. It would have added some delight to our experience. The by the land meat fondue was very tasty. Great quality beef but not much quantity. It was enough for 2 people but was a little less than desired if also feeding a child (just keep that in mind if sharing). The sauces for dipping were ok - nothing spectacular in taste. The best part of the meal was the dessert. The chocolate fondue came with a large assortment of items: pineapples, bananas, strawberries, meringues, hazelnut cookies, marshmallows, banana bread. This is what we would have expected of the other courses so the meal ended on a high note. We paid the bill, about $250 and our waitress informed us that she would call the shuttle to take us back to our hotel, the Pan Pacific Mountainside. We were excited that the meal included this level of service. We waited quite some time after this and our daughter was getting antsy so we decided to get up and wait up front. We realized upon getting to the front that it appeared as if the shuttle had never been called. The host was on the phone calling the shuttle and it was going to be another 10 min, so we waited some more. Then, those minutes went by and we frustratingly just decided to walk. The host apologized and called to cancel our ride. Walking was probably the worst decision we could have made. It was raining hard and as we walked along the way, all three of us got completely soaked by a passing bus. Here I am, 7 months pregnant and my 4 yo daughter is absolutely freezing and miserable. It was awful because we had such a long walk back and my husband had to carry her back just drenched in the freezing weather. At one point, he almost slipped and fell! We stopped in the Fairmont to warm up before making the rest of the trek and almost laughed at how miserable things had turned. In summary, it was disappointing to have paid that much for a meal only to be left with a sour taste about the experience overall. The staff was friendly but just missed the mark on what I would have considered an upscale dining experience from start to end. We have stayed at a number of properties in Whistler and this just made us reconsider whether the Fairmont would be the right choice for us in the future. When spending this amount on a nice meal, the expectations were not met.Dear SNH15708,Thank you for sharing feedback on the service shortfalls you encountered during your visit to the Chalet. Although I am pleased to hear you did enjoy the chocolate fondue, if every aspect of your visit is not enjoyable we want to know.We truly appreciate your valuable feedback and can assure you that your comments have been taken seriously and having reviewed them with the service team we have made adjustments for the future.I have also forwarded your review to our guest service team who run our shuttle service as the waits you encountered are not our normal standard. Please feel free to contact me directly through the hotel's main number if you would like to discuss further.Kind Regards,Nick Humphrey'sChalet Manager
