I was with a party of six for lunch, which was very good, and reasonably priced. The restaurant is very atmospheric in a medieval style, and the service was courteous and prompt. The restaurant itself is probably not worth a special trip, but Burg Gleiberg is, so, while you are in the vicinity, try the restaurant as well.

We (3 persons) had a nice lunch which included gnocci, spaghetti bolognese and a combination plate of filled pasta. All the dishes were generous in size and very tasty. The house wine went well with the food. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place for lunch with decent food, you can't go wrong here.

Been here a couple of times with my colleagues and we all liked it, the staff are friendly and the Italian food is well prepared, price is quite good for the area too so I'd recommend this one if you are staying in this end of town.

We took our Giessen, Germany hosts to this restaurant that we had read good reviews about as our thank you to them. They had not been there as yet. It was a fabulous dinner, exquisite flavors and tastes, beautifully served. Each of us were delighted with our meals. The service was impeccable but not intrusive, albeit a little on the slow side (which has been true more often than not in our whole European experience this time). It was expensive but appropriate for our purposes.

A Restaurant with a terrace on the River Lahn, rowers passing by. Nice view. The food was good, speciality of the house are sweet an savoury pancakes, served in the frying pan. Tasty. I was the guest of the hotel with the same name, so lunch or dinner at the restaurant or on the terrace were good opportunities to save time and (as I have seen) money. The kitchen is typically German with various types of meat: pork, beef, venison but fish and chicken too. Very tasty were a variety of appetizers and salads. Cooked meat specialties grilled especially, but not only. I ate an excellent "Gordon bleu" but also a dish based on small pieces of wild boar and deer, with excellent taste. For dessert can taste an matching ice cream or an strudel. Beers were perfect, two local beers, pils or weissbiers for both:" Licher" and "Benedicter". Do not miss this restaurant when you get the opportunity!

We recently stopped here after touring Burg Gleiburg. We sat outside in the beer garden. Nice atmosphere. The wait staff promptly brought a menu and took our drink order. After that however, it took a long time for her to return and actually take the food order, and much longer to receive anything. We never did receive our full order! The few people working were simply overwhelmed and disorganized. We watched as they repeatedly tried to deliver part of our food order to different tables. We kept trying to flag down a server to get it brought to us, but finally just gave up.

1.Problem with the reception days and hours.When i arrived(Monday 21.30), a sing posted on the door: free day on Sunday and Monday. Is clearly specified on the reservation:On business days: from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM.2. Parking places are occupied, only if u are lucky you might catch one.3. Room is very simple, rudimentary.4. Bathroom OK. Shower cabin.5. They promise a free bottle of water per stay, but the room has no drinks at all.5. Beautiful village, on a hill, is a pleasure to walk around.All in all is ok for a short stay, as a backup. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.
