The Gasthof zum Deutschen Haus is a typical inn in Franken nothing fancy or glamorous but with interesting dishes and exciting daily specials. The food is excellent and the portions are just the right size. I enjoyed backed carp, something I hadn't seen on a menu for some time. The others opted for meat dishes and were all happy with their choices. A bit off the beaten track but worthwhile a visit when you are in the area.

People in the area are generally very nice but this place is so sweet. Super nice and friendly staff. Food basic but good and obviously made with heart and soul. A hidden gem with charm.

I went to this restaurant whilst on business in Germany.The menu was in German and they didn't speak English but with my limited German I got by.I only had a main course, rump steak medium but it was very tender and well worth it.It was not expensive and if I return to Weissenstadt I will definitely eat here againThey do takeaways here which did a roaring trade, one person came in ad took away the largest pizza box I have ever seen, it must have been a meter square. Amazing.

Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich, hilsbereit und das bestellte Essen lieà nicht lange auf sich warten. Das Gampert-Bier war ausgezeichnet, der gemischte Braten mit KlöÃen in Ordnung und der Zucchini-Nudelauflauf ein Gedicht. Ein Blick auf die Tageskarte lohnt sich wirklich. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Evenings in Wunsiedel can be exciting like a bookkeeping course for experts, since apart from people in an ice bar hardly any sign of life can be spotted after 20h . But then you will not believe your eyes: street illumination, tables outside with plenty of young people who enjoy an astonishing offer of good wines or a delicious draft beer and some tasty snacks. The restaurant is original like its name "Ewige Baustelle", eternal construction site. The service is very friendly and efficient.
