The garden setting made for a lovely ambiance in this restaurant, which we found thanks to TripAdvisor. Make a booking; that place was packed when we arrived for a late lunch. The service was good but the waiting time was long. The service staff were very polite and professional. We ordered the plat du jour which was beautifully plated, but after taking a few bites of the meat, we decided that the meat was really undercooked for our liking. The waiter took it back with no questions asked, and brought back the dishes re-plated.The food was impressive. Generous portions ensured we didn't leave hungry, beautiful presentation, tasty, but above all, the ingredients were of really good quality. We eat steak pretty often, and were quite surprised that they'd use ribeye steak for the plat du jour, which only cost 11 euros. We really enjoyed the meal, would recommend it, and cannot wait to return.

Small, cosy restaurant in the middle of town. Good simple food, well prepared and moderately priced. Service experience was pretty good too....hope to be back soon!Q

We found this hidden gem by accident. We had a lovely dinner in the nicely decorated dining room. We could have eaten outside as well but were afraid that it might be too chilly. We were rapidly handed our menus and we could order cocktails straight away. We tried the entrecote and the filet de boeuf and both were devine, cooked to perfection and a very generous serving. The dishes were also beautifully presented. Although the dame blanche does not figure on the menu, the staff was more than happy to serve it to our little one. The profiteroles were all right. All in all a wonderful experience in a relaxed atmosphere and at a reasonable price. A place to discover and one that I warmly recommend.

There are two café/restaurants just on the right as you exit the tunnel overlooking the lake and we chose this one because it had a higher terrace and boy, was it fabulous! There are lots of comfy chairs and low tables as well as normal tables so there is something for everyone. Service was incredibly friendly and they gave the impression it was a pleasure to have our custom. We decided to have ice cream/sorbet and I can highly recommend the apricot and fleur de lait flavours. Prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely go there again when we're passing. (Since writing this I've only just returned home and haven't had time to post so in the meantime we tried the one next door and can definitely say that the service is way more friendly here! The menu is more limited but if it's a a light meal or drink you're after then there is no doubt which we'd prefer!)

We stopped for a "quick lunch" on the way to the Languedoc wine region. Three hours later we didn't want to leave. The amuse-bouches were already better than 1-star Michelin restaurants that I have been to lately, and the experience only got better. The first course was molecular egg with seasonal vegetables - perfectly done. The main course was Pintade 3-ways. As expected there was excellent service throughout and wine recommendations were spot on!

Whether you are with family, friends or for a professional event, our restaurant âLe Chalet du Sireâ, near Bauges park welcomes you by the fire with its Savoie cuisine. âLe Chalet du Sireâ is in the heart of Savoie Grand Revard, near the cross of âNivolet
Chalet du Sire recently changed ownership. The new owners have modernised the look and feel of the interior by stripping the restaurant of all the Christmas decoration 365 days a year on display.. And sand washing the wood. The chalet now has 2 outdoor seating areas, one with a beautiful look on the valley. The food unfortunately pays the bill. The Åuf cocotte is not as tasty as before, the egg was not 100% cooked and the creamy sauce was lacking cream.I ordered chicken as a main, which was heavily over cooked and thus dry. As there was no sauce with the dish I had to use mayonnaise to be able to swallow the food. Finally we were rushed to order dessert as the kitchen closes at 9PM. Are we really in France? Sorry peeps, Iâm afraid we will find another restaurant in the area for our fine dining experience..Thank you Sir.You're right, recently the ownership changed. But the Chef in the kitchen is the same! The sand washing of the wood has been done more than years ago.So i don't really understand the link between the sand washing wood and what is in the plate. About the food, since the ownerhip changed, the eggs are organic, the food is local, the cheese comes from a "bergerie" near the restaurant in "les bauges", we have higher quality references when it comes to choose the local partners. If the Chef forgot to add lot of sauce, it can happen, a sign to the waiteress and it is done! and yes the kitchen close at 9PM as many restaurants in "les bauges". Taxes in France are so high that we have to reduce opening hours. By the way, we are open from 10:30 am To 11:PM.Alain

Excellent restaurant. Had there 2 dinners and 1 lunch and they were excellent. Perhaps the wine a little pricey. But that does not spoils the fun.

All fresh products with excellent natural taste. The owner himself does the cooking. Prices are reasonable. Wines are served by the glass. This restaurant is located in the centre of a nice town on the largest lake of France - Lac du Bourget. It can seat some 15 persons only. Of course the menu is limited which guarantees the owners concern about freshness. The good balance of the ingredients avoids digestion problems.

The new restaurant of the hotel Golden Tulip, l'Alchimiste, welcomes you in a modern and elegant environment in Aix-les-Bains. With an open kitchen room, watch the Chief and his team prepare your meals. l'Alchimiste restaurant guarantees you a truly gusta
A regular visitor to Aix-les-Bains, we wanted to push the boat out so booked here for a family meal. Unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. Service was slow but the staff pleasant and helpful if you could get their attention. Our starters arrived but no bread and we had to go and find a water to bring spoons for the soup! The main courses eventually arrived but they were cold or lukewarm at best. But the most surprising but disappointing thing was the complete lack of flavour exasperated by a lack of seasoning. We gave up in the end and didnât bother with either desserts or a coffee because we couldnât wait any longer! 2.5 hours for 2 courses!! We complained and did get 10% off the bill and the staff were apologetic. However, it was clear that there were issues - we were not the only ones complaining- but at no point were the staff proactive or apologising for the wait. It was only after complaining that they apologised. We would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant in the future. We will certainly not return. Dear 748amandat,Thank you for taking time to share your experience. We are truely sorry to know that you didn't enjoy our restaurant. Please know that we apologise for this oversight which is totally exceptional. That's why we offered you a 20 % off the bill (not 10%). You should have noticed us your disappointment during your meal ; we could have tried to meet your expectations. Again, we are sorry for your bad experience and we remain at your disposal if you want to discuss with us.Best regards,
