Were there recently for lunch and dinner while staying at hotel Spinerola. Very nice and cosy restaurant with excellent food and wine. The restaurant was rather pricey compared with other restaurants and for dinner we couldn't eat outside due to lots of gnats. This restaurant in the small village of Treville is just wonderful. We were a very large group (about 30), something which would have been a challenge even for a large restaurant. The service was excellent and the food absolutely delicious. And as a large group of foreigner invading their wonderful little restaurant, they made us feel very welcome indeed. And to complete the excellent food, the restaurant has stunning views of the surrounding countryside. A must if you are staying at Villa Mimma next door and definitely worth the journey if you are staying elsewhere.

We met up for lunch at La Commedia della Pentola on our way back from Sardinia to Milan. The first thing to strike you as you walk up to the pool and restaurant is the amazing vista. The view is gorgeous, rolling hills and masses of flowers, and the restaurant itself under a marquee is stunning. There are white curtains flowing in the permanent breeze, and the tables are all adorned with colourful glasses and lovely crokery. It is quite Laura Ashley without being twee! The owner is really lovely and helpful and showed us their rooms that they rent out overnight - looks like a great place to get away for the weekend if you live in Milan. I loved the tasting menu - their steak tartare was delicious as was the pear filled with blue cheese. The dishes were creative and a little different, and obviously a lot of the produce was home grown. It's a great place for a long relaxing lunch, kids can swim while you sip your wine after lunch and you don't feel rushed to leave. La Commedia della Pentola offers a calm relaxed atmosphere and a sumptuous menu.

Buonasera a tutti voiCi siamo stato sabato sera, ovvio consiglio di prenotare.Location bella e suggestiva, non semplice da arrivarci "a naso" cmq ne vale la pena.Cucina tipica Piemontese, carni, affettati, vini ottimiiiiiiiiiiUn plauso al Proprietario che è anche il direttore della cucina, accoglienza, simpatia sono di casa.Servizio ok. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo, il conto è meno "salato" di quel che co si attenderebbe"...bravi

Babette it is a charming restuarant with a couples of rooms in a wonderful location between wineyards. We had a wonderful lunch at Ferragosto sitting outside in the garden. The food was excellent, piedmontese cuisine but with an innovative touch. Here it is well know for champagne and indeed we had a wonderful bottle from a small producer and then an excellent Grignolino Superiore (local wine of this part of Monferrato). The owner is kind and friendly, good service so if you are closed to Casal Monferrato I really this charming restaurant.

My husband and I were staying at Palazzo Paleologi, the hotel where this beautiful restored restaurant is located. The restaurant is upstairs in the old converted monastery with a beautiful view over the vineyards of Piemonte. The Palazzo and the restaurant are family run and our hosts could not have done more for us - even allowing our lovely labrador Lucy to join us in the stunning restaurant.We opted for the tasting menu which was incredibly reasonably priced for 7 courses and I can honestly say I have never had better risotto in my life! The staff were happy to make my tasting menu wholely vegetarian even though this was not a usual option. Each course was beautifully prepared with local produce and the freshness just sprung from the plate. the wine list is fabulous with lots of local options to sample. We even finished our meal off with some home made limoncello and amaretto.If in Piemonte you MUST visit this charming restaurant. First class.

We ate here on our last night in Vignale and were very happy we did! A menu that changes weekly, based on the seasons, but with more originality than most other Piedmontese restaurants. Great choice of Proscecco and wines by the glass and SUPER friendly service. The building is a beautifully renovated old brick garage/factory with a roof top terrace that's stellar. A must.
